Questions & Answers

I'm not sure why the price went up by over $3. In a matter of months, you'll have a million dollars? Although it is essentially a rhetorical question, I will purchase from another site until then. ?

As video resolutions improve (4K, 8K, etc. ), video files become larger per minute of viewing time, necessitating the use of more capable physical media (e.g., Blu-ray discs). ray). DRD /- has a smaller customer base. R & CD+/- Higher prices and, eventually, obsolescence are associated with the letter R. I'd like to express my gratitude to the MPIA group. They want you to rent your entertainment rather than own it.

Is the quality of these archival? For the next 100 years, I want to save photo memories. ?

It wasn't long ago that recordable DVDs became available. R's have been around for a long time, and I've been using them without issue for nearly 20 years, so I expect them to last a long time. The bigger issue, I believe, is the ever-changing way we store media, and I imagine it will be difficult to find a device to read this media in 100 years.

I'm guessing the tops are plain white. Do you have a magic marker that you could use to write on them?

The discs are matte white and have a matte finish. Markers, as well as a pen or pencil, could be used to write on them. You could also use an inkjet printer that can print on discs, such as many Epson models, to print on them.

Is it possible to convert a VCR tape to a DVD using these DVDs?

As long as you have a vcr player that can connect to your dvd recorder, it should work. There are still dub-capable VCR/DVD players available. There are two things you might come across: Even on the dvd, a worn tape will result in poor quality, and you'll need to keep an eye on your recording format to ensure there's enough space on the disc.

The last few orders included 80% unusable disks
3/5

They were good for the first half of last year, but recently, 80% of the DVDs were unusable, working for a pro video company this really sucks, working for a pro video company% Advantages: br>br> On the white side, the print quality is excellent, and the DVDs are excellent when they work. br>Cons: If you get a bad batch of DVDs (which you can't control), you'll be searching for hours to find one that works. We enjoy the quality of the DVDs when they work, so this is a big disappointment. br>br>I hope the company sees this review and improves as a result.

Beware 4
3/5

7 GB isn't accurate; it's more like 4 GB. 3 GB. These disks don't have a 4-gigabyte capacity. It's not quite 7GB as claimed, but it's close to it. I had reduced my file size to 4GB and this was causing me problems with my project; I had reduced my file size to 4GB. 4GB, and it had no trouble burning a Verbatim DVD that could not be printed on the front. When I tried to burn these files to the white Verbatim Inkjet Printable DVR R disks, I got the message "file size too large. " As a result, the printable DVDs' capacity is clearly lower than Verbatim claims. To fit the four videos on the disks, I had to cut the three I wanted by a few seconds each. The printable DVDs allow for 3GB of storage. br>br>The printing appears to be of high quality. I shot with a Canon Pro-SLR camera. To print the disks, you'll need a total of $100.

Never a bad burn, long lasting, and compatible with inkjet printers
5/5

I've gone through several boxes of DVDs, creating disks for both myself and others. I've had nothing but good results, and I can't recall ever having a bad burn or a defective disk. There has never been a complaint about them being difficult to play. I use a regular Dell computer to burn them at whatever speed it wants. They print beautifully in my HP inkjet (dye) printer. br>br> They are excellent photographers. Although I prefer a glossy finish, these are still lovely. br>br>I also want my disks to last as long as possible, so I put them through some rough tests. br>br>I exposed some data disks to the sun for 18 days and found no evidence of data degradation or a change in the check sum. This isn't a perfect test, but it's a start. br>br>The printed surface is very light resistant. To see if the ink would fade, I placed the printed surfaces in a car window and exposed them to daylight (including direct sunlight) for 70 days. There was almost no fading with HP ink. I only noticed a little fading with another brand of ink. However, because I did not test them for exposure to fluorescent lights, I can't guarantee anything. br>br>June 2017 UPDATE: Since 2011, I've been almost exclusively using these (94812) (same product number). I've burned hundreds of discs and have never had any data loss that I'm aware of. (I don't go through them all in order, but I do play a lot of them on occasion. ) ) I've never had a bad burn in my life. They were fine when I bought them in April of 2014.

100% success rate! The DVDs are fantastic
5/5

In the pack, there isn't a single "coaster. " In a pack of discs, I usually expect one or two to be defective. It's just the nature of the beast, but there wasn't a single one in this batch of 50 that was bad. br>The quality of the printing is outstanding. There are no smudges or light spots on this picture. All of them have the same color scheme and design. Verbatim will be my go-to source of information going forward. to disc. br>The packaging is excellent. They're packaged in a cake box with a spindle. They're well protected, and it's a great way to keep them safe until they're needed. These came in a package with a few other items. No shipping damage occurred as a result of the careful packing. br>br>I've ordered a few more of these, but I'm also going to try the 16X. If the 8X (discs) are this good, I'm sure the 16X will be as well. br>br>Do I think these discs are worth buying? Yes, absolutely! You cannot go wrong with a 100% success rate. Yes, there are cheaper DVDs available, but these are the best real value for money in my opinion.

Overall, I've found the Verbatim DataLifePlus DVDs to be among the best DVDs on the market
5/5

Despite the fact that I occasionally see what appears to be a tiny nick or defect in the media (which I have found to be common among all brands for DVDs and CDs near the top or bottom of the stack), I rarely get a bad burn, and I verify all of the discs that I burn. These DVDs aren't the cheapest on the market, but they're well worth the money. The fact that this media is produced in Taiwan rather than China is one of the reasons for its superior quality. I try to avoid products made in China as much as possible, and I'll keep doing so until they learn to prioritize quality control. I tried using cheaper media, like RiDATA, but I was getting bad burns more than 20 percent of the time, and the cheaper media often wouldn not give me good burns at the% My burner is from a well-known brand that is well-known for its high quality. When it comes to burning DVDs and CDs, you'll get the best results if you use well-known name brands for both the media and the burner (and both manufacturers have a good track record). Additionally, make sure your burner's firmware is up to date. When there are bugs or reliability issues with DVD burner firmware, reputable manufacturers always update it. You're just asking for headaches if you settle for the cheapest media and burner you can find. Who needs the aggravation, squandered time, and squandered money that inferior products can bring?.

At this time, there are no coasters
5/5

I've used 35 of the 50 cards so far. I bought these so that I could print the labels on the disc with a little more room, which is convenient. My only reservation is that they do not bear the "AZO" label found on standard Verbatim disc packaging. When I looked up the definition of "AZO," I discovered that it has to do with the recordings' longevity.

It's a good deal to get something verbatim
4/5

It's a good idea to use verbatim media. br>In this case, Amazon packaging FAILED. A thin plastic shipping envelop was used to ship the spindle. There is no padding at all. The spindle's base has been smashed to bits. It appears that the media is usable.

I bought a pack of 50 because I needed to make 10 DVDs, but four of the first nine I pulled from the pack were defective and had to be discarded
3/5

So, to get my ten, I needed 14 discs. I expect the rest of the pack to be the same, and I will never buy this brand again, and I would advise others to do so as well. They weren't even the cheapest on the market; they were in the middle of the price range, but not worth the money.
