I recently purchased a new iMac and had to replace the external DVD drive at around the same time - I bought it on Amazon. I didn't need a large spindle of DVDs, so I ordered these discs. After a couple of failed burns, I was left with the dreaded coasters. Others seemed to work fine; I'll never give up physical storage, and I'm thinking I'll try a different brand next time.
For a long transcription job, R double-capacity disks are recommended. I started by going to an electronics store and purchasing a package of five "cheap" 8MB/240min dual layer disks, which I then recorded. br> None of the disks worked in my Vista Media Center - not one. They would start burning and getting to 35% copy - My Vista OS, like Sibyl of old, offered no explanation for the problem. br>br> After that, I went to Amazon and purchased the disk stack mentioned above. All of them (so far) have worked perfectly. br> I recommend using my example as both a bad and a good example. Deals should always be avoided. However, it ended happily, and I can vouch for Amazon's ability to sell a product that works. Customer service is well known for being outstanding, and response time and delivery of the goods were both excellent. br>br> I'm in a good mood. Thank you so much, Amazon! br>br> Steve Myers of Bedford, Pennsylvania.
As someone who, for better or worse, made a low-budget film and wrote, directed, and produced a feature film (Caution to the Wind), I can speak from experience. In 2010, I burned my first "Director's Cut" DVDs using These Excellent dual layer Dvds. br>br>The best, in my opinion, for those of us who do not have access to a large Hollywood budget.
Pros: When ripping, everything works normally. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. 0br>0br>Overall: 0br>0br>0br>0br>0b I bought it primarily to store photos and edit videos, but also to create a hard copy of Windows 10. I've had three thumb drives and one external HDD fail. br>Just saying, these are the smartest ways to store, based on my own experience.
They were all in order. It comes with a sturdy carrying case.
Only 3 were shown on the first disc. 1 GB was free, the rest was filled with garbage data, and the rest was indefinable! It appears that it has been opened.
br>br>My first set of discs, which I bought 5 years ago, are still playable on both my PC and PS3. Other brands are less expensive, but they frequently have layer break issues. br>br>At the moment, you can get a 25 GB Blu-ray disc that is both reliable and affordable. ray media at comparable prices, but if you must stick with DVDs, these are Highly Recommended.
