This is fantastic. I ordered a 50-pack of verbatims but was dissatisfied with the current quality. Only 25 of the fifty could be written on. I returned to Amazon in search of a new brand, as Verbatim is no longer what it once was. I came across these Smart Buy brand DVD r's and am glad I bought them. So far, all 50 attempts have yielded positive results. They do not come with a spindle for the discs, which is my only gripe with them. However, for the price and the quality of the discs, they are well worth it. I strongly advise you to purchase them. I'm going to buy more.

I thought the price was too good to be true, and when we got them, every one I looked at had a 1/4-inch tear along the outside edges. As a result, I opened the second package and found the same thing. As a result, I went back and paid a few dollars more for the quality I'd come to expect. I attempted to copy a few, but they all returned errors.

I was hesitant to purchase these discs because 1) I had never seen them before and 2) they were not on any spools or racks. Their burning and viewing quality has so far been excellent. I'll buy more if you keep the price low. UPDATE. 26th of June 2016. My second order arrived just now. Perfect products that arrived in a timely manner. It's unquestionably a wise investment.

It's a risky purchase. The package contained two 50-piece bundles that were taped together but lacked a spindle. Only the label on the top bundle is wrapped. The bottom bundle appeared to be opened and then taped shut. The first disc I put in my Magnavox ZV420MW8 Recorder freezes at random intervals. Following ones were either fine or gave an error message like "disc full, cannot record after 6 hour sports channel shows recording," so it was a bit hit-or-miss.

This is a fantastic deal, as it costs about half as much as other "Premium" dvd r blank DVDs. But they both work equally well, and I can't tell the difference. I've purchased a few of these and have yet to have a problem with any of them; they work perfectly. Shipping is also quick, taking about two days to arrive. I'll be able to buy cases for them with the money I save. It saves a lot of money in the long run while maintaining the same level of quality! I'll buy more of these as long as they're available.

My Toshiba DVD recorders always work with Smart Buy DVD R. I've tried every other brand and they all give me problems. These are trustworthy!.

Pro: There have been no disc failures. Permanent markers work well for writing (50 used), DVD R, and permanent markers.
Con: Large print on the label could be less predefined.
