Memorex DVD plus R 16x 4.7GB 100 Pack Spindle

These DVDs are not capable of being digitally video to disc. I wish I could give this item 0 stars, but that isn't possible because it so richly deserves it. From the top to the bottom, 11 of the 32 discs I've used or "tried" to use have failed miserably. Not in a desktop computer, a laptop, or a stand-alone VHS to DVD recorder, which I use to convert home movies from relatives and customers to DVDs. If they had failed in just one machine, I would have blamed that machine; if they had all failed, I would have assumed the technology had changed; however, some work, occasionally, in some machines, indicating that many of the discs are simply lemons. And how do I return the product? I'd already opened the package, thrown away the shipping carton, and used and GIVEN away 4 discs to my relatives before realizing how many of them were useless. I'm not going to buy them again!.

I have used many different burning medias in the past and have found Memorex to be the most reliable and cost-effective option. I honestly can't remember the last time I had a dvd burn fail or any data issues - I used these disks to store video files. br>br>The Memorex 4 comes in a 100-pack. 7 GB, 16x DVD R br>(I record at maximum speed and have had no problems. ) )br>br>I also like using these because the tops of the disks have labeling areas. (I write with a black Sharpie marker. ) )br>br>Just to give you an idea of the amount of data these can hold. br>br>CD = 800MBbr>DVD = 4, br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> 7GB (4,700 MB)br>br>Music mp3s are approximately 5MBbr>Photos are typically 3MBbr> 5 MB or 10 MB If you're using a DSLR camera, the file size will be around 20 megabytes.

Unfortunately, this product was a complete failure. At the bottom of this letter, I'll include photographs. There were SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS WRONG WITH THESE DISKS THAT IT LOOKS LIKE ALL THE REJECTS WERE COMBINED AND SENT TO ME ON A SINGLE SPINDLE. br>The worst part was that I had to make videos for my family out of them, and many of them had to be thrown away. br>The discs had a variety of scratches and chips in the center where the silver was completely missing; in a few cases, you could even read the word DVD printed on the front of the disc through the back. The imprint of the AMERICAN FLAG IN FULL COLOR on the back of the disc, on the other hand, was what threw me the most. br>I'm not sure what you're doing in the DVD manufacturing industry, but I had to THROW OUT about 16 discs before I realized there was a serious problem and began going through them. I've included a photo of the others who aren't doing so well; So, out of the 100 discs I ordered, about 41 are defective. This is the third time he's done it, and he's never told me he's having problems with wonky disks. Finally, he admitted that he couldn't finish a lot of the disks he'd taped and that he was dissatisfied with the amount of time and money he'd wasted for his company. I informed him that the pack was brand new and had been purchased directly from Amazon - He also mentioned that he usually has to double-check the backs of these disks for scratches, and that he would sometimes go down two levels to do so. He had to go three-quarters of the way through the pack to find one that he could use. I was embarrassed that he hadn't told me before because he uses them for his business, so I just kept ordering these Memorex 16X DVD R (100 PK), 100 Pack DVD R Tote (32020034438) from the seller as a gift to help my brother grow his recording business. This was the last and "completed" order that I placed. Sorry, but I can't afford to pay for non-finalized disks.

For the past six years, I've been using Memorex DVD R 16x discs. I've been using them for 7 years and, despite the fact that they're considered a lower-quality DVD on the market, I've never had any issues with them. I've burned over 600 of these DVDs so far. I've only had 3 dates with R. 4 failures is a very small number when you consider the quantity and cost of these discs.

Overall I 100% pleased with these discs and will definitely continue to purchase them because they work perfectly for my situation. I also use them to burn Game Development Software that I have written and send the DVD to customers who have purchased it. I've never had a customer contact me because they couldn't use the DVD R, so they're very compatible with other DVD drives. br>br>I've used them to burn DVD Videos and Data discs on an ASUS Server PC. I've burned DVD videos and data discs using them on my Toshiba laptop. Finally, I've started using them with my Acer Aspire One AO725-M laptop. I've used the 0899 to burn data and backup discs, and they've worked flawlessly with all three of my systems. br>br>I have a total of six discs that I've burned. 7 years ago and they still work 100% in all of the various PC based systems that I have upgraded to over the years, so they are very compatible with other systems and not only.

In transit, packing for a "heavy" small box does not work well. While the sides have bagged air protection, the top and bottom do not. Especially if dropped three feet (or one meter) onto a hard surface (truck bed, concrete walkway). A broken spindle (cracked at the bottom) was in my box when it arrived. The discs seemed to be in good condition. However, the quality will not be known until it is used. I used Loctite Super Glue Professional Liquid 0 because I needed it. 7 oz to repair spindle to circular plastic stand; shipping box appears to be too small and tight to provide the necessary protection. It was less expensive than ordering two 50-pack spindles, which would have been better packed and less likely to be damaged during shipping.
