For a proper operation of your ADAT recorder, Alesis recommends using SVHS tapes that are manufactured by a well-known brand. As much as I can, I still use my old ADAT machines. They sound great, they're easy to operate and I keep my master recordings on them even when I transfer them to the The fact that there are still enough of these tapes is great. They have worked in my machine flawlessly and they are priced reasonably.
It is appropriate to use a standard ADAT tape if you are still using this old school way of recording.
During my research, I was able to find this to be the best tape for ADAT. There are better prices out there, but this is not the best. Please use GMB.

The two defective tapes we ordered were out of the six we ordered.
The availability of ADAT tapes is decreasing, however these tapes are still available and can be used.
The method did not work. Trying to spin the ADAT tape did not make it spool. It just hummed and sat there trying to spin.
