My purpose in buying this was to measure the cartridge tracking force on a stereo turntable and it worked perfectly. In terms of accuracy, the scale seems to be very reliable, and it is very easy to zero or to "tare. " I only have one complaint, and it's a small one the way the protective cover/lid attaches to the scale. The design of this scale is shared by many similar, low cost models. This process is just very fiddly to figure out and I've never been able to line it up correctly the first time. I also find it to be an inconvenience, since I have to use it every time I have to. It gets a 4 out of 5. If I could give it 5 stars, I would.
This is the second time I've ordered this and the first time I've ordered it came The one on this one worked perfectly, though it did arrive a bit late. hand-balanced my tone arm according to the manufacturer's instructions, but I was shocked at how far off it was when I "guesstimate" By using this device, I was pleasantly surprised at how much fuller the sounds became once the proper downforce was applied.

With this one, I liked the addition of decimal space in the measurements, as well as the design overall. I am very happy with the purchase I made!.
The only issue is the accuracy is a little unstable.
There are many things I like about this device. I have noticed a significant improvement in my turntable tracking. I'm very satisfied with this little dynamometer since I get less jitter and its accuracy is exceptional. Using this system, I can make very small changes in a very incremental manner. Despite not having a lot of learning curve, I found it very easy to use.
The unit is very nice.
Tonearm weight is checked with this device. They are thin enough to be placed on a platter (Technics SL 23) and anchored to the lower tonearm with a.
