Questions & Answers

The device is marketed to add OTA signals from an attic antenna to cable from my cable and then separate the signals at the rear of the TV. Can I use it for this purpose?

The item you are looking for is a diplexer, and you will need two to complete what you are planning.

As long as you are using MoCa only, there is no need to connect anything to the input, but you should terminate the port with an 80

It seems this is a multipoint splitter. Can it be used outside the home to split Comcast Cable?

It's a pleasure to answer your While the splitter can be used outside, it is recommended to install it inside a house box or premise box to avoid letting water in. *grounded connections are recommended, however the splitter can also be used without a ground. A surge protector keeps your wires from being damaged and from being damaged by fire if there is a power It is essential to keep in mind that your cable system only needs 1 grounding connection. Therefore, as long as you've got an established ground before the 3 way that's already in place, all you need is that. In case you are unsure about grounding, it's a good idea to have a professional inspect it. plan on connecting this directly to my directTV dish to receive the signal and running two separate wires to each of the boxes. Could you please tell me if this will be of any use to me?

Hopefully everything will work out

There used to be a problem with Fios triple play TV before this splitter
5/5

The splitter has proven to be very reliable and efficient. There is no doubt that it is a little pricey, but IMO it is still worth it. January 2016 marked the first month we had FiOS Triple Play. Everything has been out of whack with the video signal to the two HD Set Top Boxes from day one. Occasionally, the signal would go out, some channels would not work, HBO2 would sometimes not come through, USA would not work, and so on Pixelated and stuttering/unviewable, you couldn't see anything on TNT. There is no end to the list. It seemed like I had to switch cables around on the splitter to help 'refresh' the signal. If I was lucky, the period would last just a day or two. The splitter that I need for a third digital set top box was going to be a four output splitter anyway since I was adding the digital set top box This is how it works [1 In case I did not have any more headaches with a very expensive triple play from Fios, I figured it would be well worth Everything has been smooth for a week now. Neither of the channels I have searched for have been "unavailable. ". I have attached a picture of the piece of crap Verizon installed on the splitter. If you will allow me, I'd love to share my Verizon experience with you! As an adult, I will just say my girlfriend and I have been in a relationship for years For a triple play putz I paid a lot of money and now they give me subpar My selection of the splitter was based on the fact that the Verizon splitter was 5 lines There is a problem with 1675MHz and it is not working properly. *This is P. It is possible to split the initial signal from the Fios connection/converter up to 8 times without issue. That is, from the coaxial input of the Fios converter into an 8-channel output The splitter is a two-way device. The number of splits from each of the 8 depends on the length or distance, the quality of coaxial cable (not all RG-6 In my example, I have one of the 4 output cables running 100 feet to a digital set-top box and splitting out to 3 TVs. Though I do not have the interactive guide, the splitter appears to work and looks good.
This splitter is the reason I have the ability to use my Fios service at all.

Thanks,.

A project I worked on outside of the I was able to complete my installation fairly easily I am using a DSL modem (phone line) and doing not have any other TV systems sharing cable, and I would rather use the existing cable for internet access than run cat5e
5/5

In this case, I connected the DSL Modem to a MOCA via an Ethernet port and connected the cable output into the input of the As a result, three of the four cable outputs were hooked up to the existing home TV cable. There was a receiving MOCA adapter on each destination and a small 5-foot cable There is a switch in the middle. Testing the MOCA internet connection speed against the direct router connection and the 50M/10M speed I am using for my DSL provided by my service provider, there was essentially no difference (my DSL provides 50M/10M speed). As a result, we are able to stream video on the Apple TV, run two office laptops, a personal laptop, and an iMAC without noticing a Compared with Cat5e cable it is more expensive, but it is also far more convenient. The build quality of this product is not something I can judge from my own experience, but I have mounted it in the outdoor access panel to our TV cable (not in the rain) and it seems to be solid and well constructed.

As I mentioned above, I am measuring it on two different TVs, so I am not sure why it was so bad
3/5

There were a few different brands of four-way cable splitters that I ordered, but this particular model worsened the connection Quite frankly, I'm not sure why this one wasn't good. I measured it using two different TV's (which tell me the signal strength) and my cable modem, and I queried the signal strength for each one. While the picture on the TV was fine and I was unable to tell the difference between splitters, my cable boxes reported that the signal was 'poor' and some features, such as 'channel map', had changed from 'Yes' to 'No. Anyway, that's just my experience, so maybe I got a bad one or something because everyone else wrote such glowing reviews.

This is by far the best splitter I have ever encountered
5/5

Since I began splitting over a decade ago, I have tried many different splitters with With this splitter, you can choose either 4 way or bi-directional operation The BAMF was featured on Amazon, so I decided to give it a shot. I was surprised at the result. It is almost impossible to lose anything. This is a highly recommended book that I recommend without a doubt. My work experience with OTA systems is well over 40 years and I absolutely love that I was able to track down a reliable splitter at a great price.

This is a great product! I love it! Excellent performance! I really didn't expect it to be that good! It was good OTA reception with HD antenna, but not great
5/5

The splitter that was installed when I had cable was used for the whole house. It seemed like an excellent option but in no way expected the reception to be perfect on every television as it had been when the antenna was connected directly to the TV. I saw this and thought it was a good option but I didn't expect it to be perfect on I had been wrong, it made such a huge difference that I didn't buy an antenna of that size.

During the first four months, it began malfunctioning
3/5

I had a splitter that began to malfunction after 4 months. We would receive a video report from Comcast stating that the line coming into our condo was active, while all our devices were not working. Consequently, both TVs and the cable modem connected to the splitter would not be able to communicate. In an attempt to eliminate a bad line, I replaced coaxial cables all connected to the splitter (incoming line, two TVs, and cable modem) but it made no difference. The devices sporadically lost connection regardless of how I configured them. in diagnostic mode while connected showed the signal levels were fine. I called Comcast to make sure that the incoming line had a strong signal, and the technician assisted me in replacing the splitter with two, two-axis splitters. Splitters are used to split two or more ways. Even though the split connection was not the perfect solution, the signal dB's were not degraded.

I finally got my Tivo working again after I was having some issues My TiVo suddenly stops working from time to time
5/5

The tv's programs and the cable company failed to work, even after several attempts that I made to contact them. After this I found another splitter ( 4 way) outside my home that was Tivo recommends at least 1ghz for this model because it is rated at 1ghz. Splitters that split the 5GHz band. This spitter replaced that one, and I did not have reception issues with Tivo anymore. Additionally, I found my Cox provider simply doesn't care or doesn't know how to fix Tivo issues, even though I pay them almost $200 per month for their service.
