The solution seems to work for me. When I first purchased it, I thought it was for a PS4 headset. The same headset is used by my kid for both.

The audio cord for the A10 needs to be replaced

There are no issues with this cord. Over time the mic on the headsets or one or both of the speakers goes out. There is no way to tell why, but this is a cheap replacement that gets you back up and running.

There is no cord for attaching the mic

It is a great cord, however the mic section is not included. Replaces part of the mechanism, but not completely. It's so annoying to have to be able to find that part too. For your information.

In less than a month, it broke

This is not worth the effort. A month after I bought it, I snapped it in half when I tried to remove the plug from my Xbox controller. I wasn't even doing anything to it at the time. This is horrible, if you ask me.

I have found that not only does it not work out of the box (it gives game audio but no mic) but I also experienced damage to my xbox controller after 30 minutes of using it.
