Questions & Answers
I recently purchased a pair of these and have found that they do not work. Splitters that are of high quality are also available.
I'm curious as well - So, instead of the "mic" logo, do they make one with two speakers or headphones?
Does not work with Apple brand earbuds; I've tried several pairs and none of them work with the microphone. The sound is fine, but the computer doesn't seem to be receiving any microphone input.

I was expecting this to work, but only the audio out and not the audio in are working. It is not recognized as a microphone by the computer. I also tried it on my roommate's computer, which isn't an Alienware, but it didn't work.
- > 12 DECEMBER 2019 UPDATE LINE - br>I increased my rating from one to three stars because the seller contacted me and sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, it is still not working. I'm afraid I won't be able to give it a perfect five.
- > FINAL UPDATE: December 24th, 2019 br>Surprisingly, the seller sent me a replacement, despite the fact that it still didn't work on my Alienware desktop. This time, however, it worked on my roommate's desktop, and I realized it might be an Alienware issue. I changed the rating to five stars because it actually works (even if it doesn't on my computer) and I appreciate the seller's generosity. Greetings, and Happy Holidays! Caution: br>br> The splitter may not work on your desktop if you have an Alienware Arora 8!.
Initially, I was experiencing a problem with loud static when I plugged in the cable. After much searching through my settings, I discovered an option that allowed you to increase the volume of your microphone, which was, for some reason, set to maximum. Look for something that says db in your audio settings and set it to 10. You're done. The cable is fantastic in and of itself! Unless your preferences get in the way, it does exactly what it's supposed to.
[UPDATE as of 2020/5/6]br>br>I am now giving this item 5 stars due to the outstanding customer service I received. br>br>Even though this item only worked with one of my headsets, the customer service rep's communication and willingness to go to great lengths to find a solution were truly remarkable. They offered to replace the item for free because it had been deemed defective, but I declined because it was only being used as a temporary solution in my set-up. I don't think this item is defective; instead, I believe the one headset that didn't work was due to a tolerance issue. They submitted a partial refund on my behalf after I explained this to the customer service representative. br>br>I think this kind of customer service should be rewarded. I wouldn't expect that level of communication from a $10 product. But it did, and for that I am grateful. br>br>This item looks great and performs admirably for my single headset. If the item does not work with your headset for some reason, rest assured that customer service will rectify the situation!.
This was purchased for my laptop, which has separate headphone and microphone ports. If you plan to use headphones with a mic but only have one headphone connector, consider investing in a product like this. br>br>In terms of this product in particular, I have had no issues. The structure appears to be in good shape: The cable is braided and the metal parts are cleanly machined. Excessive bending is probably not a good idea, but that is self-evident.
I bought this to split the audio and mic from my headset so that I could use it without a USB adapter. It's a Hyperx Cloud 2 headset, and it's fantastic. To reach the back of my computer, I use an extender cord with my headset. It's fantastic! The audio and microphone have been identified and are in perfect working order.
So I went ahead and bought it, and it works perfectly. Any type of headset, including iPhone headphones, can be used with this set-up. br>br>Due to its long-lasting construction, I won't have to replace it anytime soon.
There are no static charges, and the connections are tight. Look no further if you require this type of connection; you will be satisfied with your purchase. I've been using it for a few months and expect it to last a long time. Have fun.
The audio was fine, but the microphone would not work without this adapter. This UGREEN splitter is the best solution for making headphones with a microphone cable work with a computer. I read reviews of several other headphone splitters and was scared away by people saying L and R audio channels were reversed, etc. Thisbr> UGREEN splitter is the best solution for making headphones with a microphone cable work with a computer. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be br>At first, I thought that in order for the Bose QC-100 to work, it needed to be plugged in. To connect the 25's to a computer, you'll need an "Audio/Microphone USB Adapter" (search Amazon for Sabra USB Audio Adapter) and this UGREEN headphone splitter. I also purchased the USB adapter, but discovered that the mic could be used with just this splitter (and not the USB adapter). If you're in the same boat as me and need to get your hands on a Bose QC- If the 25 mic won't work with just this splitter, try getting an Audio/Microphone USB Adapter, such as the Sabra brand or something similar.
