It works with a 5mm adapter. Even on a 4-star rating, pole 3. 5mm. I got a few questions about whether this would work with a 4-year-old. pole 3. I asked if it would work with a 5mm connector and was told no, but I discovered that the answer is yes, it will work fine as long as you don't need your mic connected or are using a balanced setup. Others I've had don't have the connector pins in the right place, so you only get mono audio out of them because one channel is dedicated to the microphone. This one, on the other hand, does exactly what I'd expect. The construction appears to be of good quality. br>br> It's not flashy, but it's well-made, and the knurled end makes plugging and unplugging the adapter a breeze. It fits snugly in my 1/4" amp and the 3" speaker. The headphone plug is securely held in place by the 5mm end. br>br>The sound quality is excellent. When the connector spins around, gets yanked on, etc. , there are no pops or cracks, and the connections are positive and snug, so I didn't expect any problems with audio transmission, which there aren't. br>br>I haven't had much experience with this product, so I can't speak to its durability. They appear to be just as good as the ones I've been using for the past 20 years, as far as I can tell. I've had them for 30 years, but they're always missing when I need them. These are reasonably priced, so I purchased a few and will keep them on hand for when I need them (at home, at work, in my backpack, etc. ).

I've experimented with a variety of three. From 5mm to 1/4-inch inch adapters for my Yamaha keyboard and have finally found one that appears to be in good working order. The connections on both ends feel extremely secure, and the channels do not cut out, which have been issues with previous adapters I've used. Plus, you get two adapters in case something goes wrong, so the price is reasonable. I'll have to wait and see what happens with long-term projects. However, for the time being, this appears to be an excellent option.

Most manufacturers, I would think, would have figured out how to make a simple item like this 1/8' to 1/4" adapter that works by the early twenty-first century. I've tried three of them so far; Out of the three, this is the first that does exactly what it should. The 1/8" plug on my headphones fits perfectly; To have both channels on, I don't have to push in my headphone jack exactly right, and I don't have to move around very carefully to avoid cracking. br>The fact that I'm writing a glowing review of a simple item that simply works demonstrates how poor the quality of common household items has deteriorated in the last 15 years. That's a long time, and it's very depressing.

These are a good deal, well made, and the gold coating appears to be even and durable (I unplug and rack my headphones after each use, so the adapter sees a lot of use). Both the interior 3/8 female and the exterior 1/4 plug have a nice tight fit, with no slop or wiggle. The knurled grip is just big enough to help with the connection but not too big that it gets in the way. I can tell the difference in sound quality between these adapters and the cheapo ones I had before using AKG 271 headphones; a good solid connection matters. Overall, I'm very happy.

I have a set of wired Bose earbuds with a microphone built in. They were unable to use this adapter. There are four conductors in a 1/8 plug for a phone. The left channel is at the tip, followed by the right channel, the ground, and finally the microphone. That last section is absent from an audio-only headset. The plug is finished with the third ground section. The ground plug on the adapter must match up with the third section for this adapter to work with a microphone headset. It won't sound good if there are any overlaps. br>br>It appears that this is the case. It's great if I use an audio-only headset. If I try to use a microphone headset, the volume is reduced and most of the upper frequencies are lost. I can make it work by twisting it to the side a little. br>br>It's possible that the two I received were defective and misaligned. It should work because they show a picture of a microphone jack going into it. It's possible that this was a bad batch, but I got two. I'm not going to order anything else from them, so I'm returning them.

I'm relieved that I'm no longer required to. Everything is as it should be. Now I don't have to listen to my kids learn to play the (digital) piano!br>br>Although the picture shows two adapters, the description doesn't specify how many are included. I got two of them.
