A record should always be cleaned in the direction of the grooves, but one method suggests placing the vinyl on the turntable and spinning it, then gently going from the inside of the record to the outer edge as it spins. My daughter received this as a birthday present. br>I gave it to her early because my husband and I had just brought her a box of old records from my mother-in-law. my mother-in-law, as well as my husband's aunt br> I used to own a set that was very similar to this one, so I know how useful they are. br>She appeared pleased with it and stated that she would no longer use a microfiber cloth. br>I just wanted to give this review a little boost. br> I bought a second one for my son. He seemed pleased to receive it as a gift for Christmas. br> Before purchasing another, I asked my daughter for her opinion after she had used it for a longer period of time. br>She described it as "amazing. " br> I'm fairly certain that some of the records in that box hadn't been played in at least 20 years. br>She claimed that there were some that she thought were ruined just by looking at them, but that after a thorough cleaning, they actually worked. br> I recall her playing a couple of records that sounded terrible, but after cleaning them, the difference in sound was dramatic. When it comes to cleaning and caring for your records, there are SO MANY different products on the market now that it's difficult to know which ones are the best. back in the day, most audiophiles, including myself, agreed that the "Discwasher" brush was the best. if you're familiar with this setup, you'll know that the quality of that product has declined significantly. The old black brush padding was far superior to the cheap courdoroy padding used now. I can honestly say that after using the record happy brush, it is the only brush I've used that is comparable (if not better) than the old discwasher brush. It cleans my records better than anything else I've tried since I started collecting records again (about three years ago), and the difference in sound quality is noticeable.
They seemed to be in good condition to me. This brush was suggested by a friend. I tried it right away, assuming I'd be wasting my time, and it worked perfectly. As good as this record sounded before cleaning (in my opinion), it sounds much better now, with more treble and a clearer base. I couldn't believe how different they were. Now it's time for me to get back to work on the rest of my "clean" records. I strongly recommend this brush to anyone who wants their records to be completely clean, based on my personal experience.
This isn't exactly pointing in the right direction. It's better than some corduroy brushes that are merely knockoffs of the classic RCA style, and it easily outperforms them. However, it's no match for a brush with those directional fingers, as it takes a lot of finesse to get it to clean without leaving a line of dust on the record; in other words, it doesn't clean as well as a brush with those directional fingers. But it's not completely useless; it outperforms the competition and works well when combined with other cleaning methods. The included "stylus brush" and cleaning fluid were neither impressive nor useful; Please provide me with a better record brush.
It appeals to me, and it accomplishes the task at hand. After a run with a good dry brush, removes a new layer of dust and bs from the record surface. The dust that has accumulated on the Velvet is easily removed using a microfiber cloth. It's a good addition to my vinyl cleaning arsenal; the next step up is either a machine or having your vinyl professionally cleaned (probably by someone with a machine or equivalent). I use this brush in my cleaning routine because it is a less expensive alternative to machines or kits, and I use it wet with the solution provided. Recommended for basic vinyl maintenance and a must-have for anyone who cares about keeping their records clean and getting the most out of their listening experience.
Anything else is a waste of money. All of the overpriced vacuums, electric washers, and sticky rollers pale in comparison to this little guy. If the record is slightly dusty, you can get away without using the liquid spritz. If you have a record with a lot of dust on it, spritz the cleaner instead of the record. br>br>I recommend purchasing a pack of microfiber cloths (similar to those used to clean eyeglasses) to use to wipe away the dust after each use. br>br>This is the best record cleaner I've ever used.
This brush is one of my favorites. In fact, there are three of them in my possession. Each turntable will have its own. It performs as expected with the applied liquid - Dust and debris can be removed with ease. It helps to keep dust off your stylus and is something I use before playing a record. The bristles are very small and do not dig deep into the grooves, so this is not a deep cleaning brush. To keep the larger brush clean, I use the small bristle brush. I've come up with a few other ways to clean the stylus. For what it is, it is an excellent product. It's almost as good as the old dishwasher brush from the past.
The brush does exactly what it says on the tin. Depending on how long it's been sitting or if it's a used record I just bought, I usually clean all of my records with a homemade cleaner and a lint-free cloth before playing them. However, I use this on my records before every play and it works great! I spray the brush with the included cleaner a couple of times before gently going over the record in a circular motion. After I do this, I never hear any pops or cracks. The brush does a good job of picking up all of the dust.
