Rest the stylus on it if it's firm but not too hard. Repeat with the arm of the record player until the dust has dissipated. Rinse with warm water after each use.
You don't leave it on all the time. You simply assign it a score of two. 3 dabs in a short period of time
The cover's magnification is minimal at best, and the image isn't particularly sharp. It was for the cleaning gel, not the magnifying lid, that I purchased it.

It's not difficult to clean, and it's even easier to maintain. as an example After each record, I used it for a year, and sometimes even between sides. Now, this probably amounted to a hundred or so uses, and I'd recently begun to wonder if my stylus needed to be replaced. I'm using an AT-AT-AT-AT-AT-AT-AT- According to the documentation, the VMN540ML should last 1000 hours, give or take a few hundred. That's about 1300 records, so I shouldn't need to replace any of them anytime soon. I removed the stylus from the cartridge and examined it after purchasing a USB microscope with stand. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow Simply put, WOW. My perspective had shifted. The tacky cleaner did two things horribly wrong, based on other reviews and my visual inspection. 1) It left a sticky residue on the surface that dirt and dust will adhere to. br>2) Any dirt that was unable to contact the product was pushed up the stylus and remained there. Some of the grime had to be scraped away with my fingernail! br>br>I could have just let the pictures speak for themselves, but I wanted to wax lyrical for a moment. I was about to post an "after" photo showing how I cleaned up my stylus, but I decided against it because I didn't want people to get the wrong idea about this product. BUY THIS KIND OF PRODUCT AT YOUR OWN RISK. USE A DRY STYLUS BRUSH AT ALL TIMES.
I bought it as a cheap substitute for the Onzow Zero Dust stylus cleaner. I can honestly say that I can't tell the difference after using both. Both will clean the stylus of dust and debris, both will clean up easily with warm water, and both will come with a magnifying glass to inspect the stylus before and after cleaning. At home, I'll keep using the Onzow, and at work, I'll keep using the Momila.
I have a brand new Ortofon 2M blue. On some records, I was starting to get some intermittent "static," but the stylus appeared to be in good condition. I'd been cleaning my stylus with a liquid cleaner and brush, but it sounded like something small was stuck. I bought this cleaner because it was inexpensive and I figured I'd give it a try. After fixing the problem, the difference in clarity was immediately noticeable after just one use. It's simple to use and a good value for money.
The glue used to hold the plastic housing together is inexpensive. By simply removing the clear lid, the body was separated from the cleaning part and fell to the ground, rendering it useless. Don't waste your time with this product; it was a huge letdown for me.
I'd been listening to records on this unit for about ten years (old 1970s pressings and newer 180 g reissues), and I knew the stylus was filthy. I was surprised at how much it improved the sound of records that I had assumed were shot. It had something to do with the stylus. I know my turntable isn't the best, but this cleaner significantly improved the sound quality.
I've now used the Onzow as well as the Momila. Onzow appears to be a little softer and stickier than the Momila. As a result, the Onzow seemed to clean the stylus better than the Momila, and I didn't apply as much pressure to the stylus as I did with the Momila. Get the Momila if you want to save money, especially if you don't already own a higher-end cartridge. If you're looking for a high-end cartridge, go with the Onzow. Both are, in my opinion, superior to carbon brushes.
You're familiar with the rival I'm referring to. When I need to clean my stylus, this little gadget works perfectly and costs less than the other guy. When I'm feeling particularly obsessive, I'll also use a stylus brush and a chunk of magic eraser.
It does! This review is solely based on the fact that "it looked used out of the box. " Very let down. It was something I wanted to keep. I followed the instructions and washed it, but it still appeared to be used. br>br>I'll be honest, it works; however, if you buy new, it should look brand new! br>br>Yes, I would recommend this based on its value and effectiveness. br>br>It appears to be pissed still. I'm always Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
