I use it on blue ortofon and it works fine; it hasn't degraded the quality or caused any problems, and I alternate brushes to avoid overuse damage.
Although I do not have the cleaning kit, I can attest to the effectiveness of the Stylus Gel. The dust particles are removed with just a couple of cartridge touches on the gel. 100% Recommend

It's the same with their new Stylus clearer. The Big Fudge Stylus cleaner is significantly less expensive than comparable products from other manufacturers while performing the same function. I've only had it for a few days, but I'm already in love with it and prefer it to my stylus brush. For any audiophile, this is a must-have.
Because the gel is convex rather than fully filling the container, the needle could not make contact with it without contacting the side of the gel's container as well. As a result, I couldn't use this product. However, because the packaging is difficult to open without destroying it, I decided not to request a return. br>br>However, I'm confident that this product would perform admirably in situations where the needle could make sufficient contact with the gel.
The Big Fudge Stylus Cleaner Gel is very effective and simple to use. Simply lower the stylus arm into the gel a few times (using the lowering lever) and the dust and grime that has accumulated on the stylus will be collected efficiently. When finished, make sure to tightly seal it and keep it out of direct sunlight. Also, the directions state that if it collects too much gunk, you can gently rinse it in warm water, so it should last a long time. Highly recommended and much less expensive than the big name stylus cleaning gels!.
It appears to do a good job, but if I had to buy one again, I'd go with the $15 Hudson because it comes with a magnifier. If you don't care about that, I highly recommend THIS product; however, as with all gel-type cleaners, make sure the turntable platter does not move while you're using it. I'm going to attach it to something to raise it up off the platter so I can use it. I'd hate to lose my EMT/Thorens MC cartridge, which I paid a lot of money for.
It's small, but do you really need it to be that big just to clean the stylus? This way, I can keep it right next to the tonearm base on the turntable. It is almost imperceptible, but it is always present when I require it. And the price is significantly lower than that of the competition. It's a no-brainer here!.
I'm a firm believer in the power of positive thinking. When used with the Big Fudge roller, it produces amazing results. My records now sound almost perfect, which enhances the enjoyment of everything I listen to. Simply place the needle on the gel three times. It cleans it and must lubricate the stylus' tip with the tiniest amount of lube. It appears to have a significant impact.

It is, in fact, quite effective. This seems to be a better option for my needle than using my needle brush. Dust adheres to the gel in a strong way. Now is the time to purchase it.
