I received over 200 dusty and filthy 45s, and the kit cleaned them all while making very little noise when they were played. The kit is effective, and I still have over half a bottle of the spray left.
This record cleaner is exactly what I expected and remembered from the previous one I purchased more than 25 years ago. This should be a must-have item now that vinyl records are making a comeback.
I recently dusted off my vintage turntable and vinyl collection after decades of listening to CDs and streaming music. My old records are filthy and covered in dust, smudges, finger prints, and other debris; the cleaning brush and solution effectively remove all visible residue from the vinyl surface. I don't clean my records by running my turntable as directed. I simply squirt the solution onto the brush and scrub the records back and forth until all of the dirt has been removed. Following cleaning, records sound fantastic. The vinyl era has returned.
I had a copy of a free album in my possession. When I first got it, it was unplayable, and I skipped a lot. Although the vinyl appeared to be scratch-free, there was a residue. I got this kit and used it with the liquid, and there were no skips after that. Still a little shaky, but it got the job done. The brush that comes with this kit is also quite nice.
I used it on some very old (40-year-old) computers. Records that had been in the closet for 50 years were discovered. There were a few minor flaws on the records, but nothing major. This was very effective in cleaning them, and the sound was fantastic.
This is essentially the same as the Discwasher system, but without the brand name. It cleans just as well and comes with a stylus brush. If you have vinyl, this is an excellent way to keep it in good condition.
This was purchased for my adolescent son, who has recently become interested in vinyl records. I showed him how to use it so that he could protect his assets.
