As a speaker wire novice, I cannot provide you with expert advice. On a boat, these wires provide good performance for a low voltage system. Their ability to do what you want says a lot about them.

This is a 50' section I ordered. I received just 49', but that was just barely enough. My usual attitude toward such matters is that I would not complain about them. My wife argues that inches are more important than anything else. I ask you to send me the remaining 3 as soon as possible Cable with a diameter of 4 inches.
I'm not an expert on wiring, so take what I say at face value. As I had to rewire my boat trailer, I wanted something that wouldn't corrode in harsh weather conditions. There were a few options I looked at, but this was the cheapest with decent reviews for the price. My first impression is that the wire itself is some of the thickest 16 gauge wire I have ever In my opinion, it is closer to 14 gauge as I was torn between using 16 or 14. It was surprisingly easy to work with, but I was not bending it more than a couple degrees here and there so it might be more difficult around My overall impression was that it worked really well for the boat trailer application and that I'm very happy with it.
The cover is a bit harder to cut, but I believe it may also be more resistant to abrasion.
The wire I purchased is the wire I used to wire a boat I was rebuilding. The wire is long and easy to run to all the lights, and much bigger than what I needed for LEDs. Nevertheless, I found this to be an excellent deal for the price. When I build my next boat I will purchase this wire again and use it. I found it to be much easier to do the job to be double shielded, since I didn't have to run everything through conduit.
I used these wirings to add power outlets and USB ports to the back of my van conversion. There was no hassle with using this wire since it is of high quality and gets the job done well. Added the wire from under the chassis and ran it up through the floor very neatly, so I'm confident that it will hold up to any road weather.
I used it to replace the wires in my saltwater boat trailer. QUALITY OF THE UP MOST EXCELLENCE.
It is made of fine fibers that bend but DO NOT break, and it is protected by a waterproof outer layer. We have now purchased three sizes and the quality has been consistent throughout all the ranges.
