It should work just fine, I think.
Using a firestick
An antenna I made with a 4 ft firestick worked, but I removed it since it allowed a lot of sway. The device is mounted on the wall behind the cab's bedrail. The antenna should probably be mounted on the cab with a short cable.
It holds my antenna in place and keeps it from bending with ease. I've used it before and it's strong.

I like the way you made it. I like the way you made it. A sturdy product. Quite a lot for the money. The whip in this case reaches 20 meters. The highway bends a lot at highway speeds, but nothing to worry about.
A boing sounds.
A sturdy design.
Despite its fit and work, my antenna moves more than I would like. The Firestik 5' is being run.
In fact, it is so heavy duty you may as well just mount it to a hard surface.
The whole thing works perfectly. I installed it, the CB radio, and the antenna. The SWR for which I am grateful is very good. Unlike many antennas that fall over and disrupt the tailgate, this one stays in place.
