Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how long the cable is?

Six feet is all it is. There are not many features in it but it simply converts the standard antenna connection on the back of the Sirius dock into RG-59 I am at the end of 6th. In order to use the standard RG-63, you'll need to purchase a unit and install it To connect your antenna, you'll need six antenna cables.

The SiriusXM SXABB2 Portable Speaker Dock originally came with the antenna. Does it work with it?

There is something I don't know. I apologize. If you wish to speak directly with either AudioVox or Sirius, I suggest contacting them As a result of a recent experience in which I had a friend test my existing antenna with his recently acquired Sirius radio, I was cautioned. I had to say that my antenna (which is several years old) wouldn't work on Our further research found that the old Sirius radios offered a higher power output I believe that the old radios (4. 5v) have a deeper battery capacity. I believe it is 5 volts) thus unable to supply the needed voltage Although I learned something that may not be applicable to your situation, I could share it with you. A minimum of five years have passed since I bought my antenna.

By doing this, how much will you gain? In decibels (dB)?

There is no way for me to know. It's not possible to measure the strength of a signal with With the antenna that comes with the radio, I was having trouble holding the signal for several years. This antenna has not lost signal once since I installed it about nine months ago. I have saved myself a lot of frustration with this antenna.

If so, does it have a f-shaped antenna body Do you have a female connector of any type? Can I use the RG-59 cable to connect to the RG-59 Would it be possible to connect male F connectors directly to a 6 extension cable?

There is no connection between the antenna body and the extension cable. These are the second time I have bought them, and both times I have had to buy connectors for them. Once you do it, the connection does not fit inside the weatherproof gasket, so I just used tape to wrap it up and make it waterproof. of these has been installed three years, the other two have been installed two years and neither have shown any problems. As far as the antenna is concerned, it works

As a last resort, you should take this step
5/5

Over the past 12 years, I have been listening to XM radio at home. Until late June 2019, when the radio stopped working, I was using a regular indoor antenna which pulled in a great signal. In an attempt to determine whether the signal issue was my own, I called XM. They told me no, that most likely it was In spite of buying a new radio and antenna, I experienced the same It has been several times that I contacted XM about signal strength, but each time I was told that nothing was After that, I tried an automatic antenna outside of my house, which was a little better, but not perfect since the audio would constantly cut out. I bought this antenna as a last resort. The antenna is mounted on the roof and connected to the radio by a 70 foot coax cable. When I installed it for the first time, the sound cut out every few minutes, but I got a better signal afterward. A call to XM confirmed there was no problem with the signal. Rotating the antenna 1/4 inch at a time on its mounting pole pointed at the southern skies, I rotated it in 1/4 inch increments. As well, I rotated the antenna head upward at about a 60 degree angle, just like the circular antennas provided by Dish TV. I was finally able to get a consistent signal after days of making small adjustments. As soon as XM was this much trouble when I first joined, I would have given up on it. There is now only a slim chance you will get an "over the air" signal. There is something strange going on with XM signals, at least in my area, since it is much more difficult to get them than in the past. An XM radio is connected by coax, so converters are sold for connecting coax. I wish you the best of luck and am looking forward to your.

It works great and is a quality product! In order to replace the home satellite antenna that shipped with my SIRIUS receiver, I used the SXHA1 antenna
5/5

After I switched over to the SXHA1, I get a stronger signal now. In terms of quality, the product is excellent. The engineered was Built with a high level of quality, visually appealing and easily installed. All mounting options for the antenna are included with the antenna Then mount it on the side of your house, on top of it, on your deck (like I did), or even on a vertical pole. It doesn't matter. In addition to using the SXHA1 antenna for SIRIUS and XM, it is compatible with other types of *NB

A conventional audio cable is used to connect the antenna to the satellite receiver 6), which is not included in the package but It is best if the RG-value is high Typical cable length for the SXHA1 antenna is listed as 150 feet by the manufacturer. A UPDATED version of this article was posted on August 28, 2015 I have had my SXHA1 antenna on my deck in my backyard for 3 years now, and it has worked flawlessly through both good Even after all of these years, it looks as good as new.

I congratulate you on your excellent performance
4/5

Specifically, there is only one drawback with this item the RG6 cable is purchased separately to connect the radio to the antenna, and the adapter to connect it is not included with the item. It was almost impossible for the RG6 wire to fit in the female pin, and I had to use force in order As soon as everything was connected, I aligned the antenna for optimal signal reception. In order to route the cable for the final installation, I had to disconnect the RG6 cable from the adapter, but the center pin had come out about 3/4 of the way. Upon reconnecting, I was unable to receive a signal. I disconnected the RG6 cable and found that it did not push the pin in. It was necessary to physically push the pin in before connecting the RG6 cable, but fortunately it made contact and all is well now. I recommend that if the adapter is hard to connect to the RG6 cable, you should not remove it once it's connected.

It currently ships with a faulty power adapter
3/5

In the past few weeks, two of these failed during installation. We determined that the included SMB to RG6 adapter was not working after a lengthy troubleshooting process. After screwing it down, it worked fine up until you unscrewed and reconnected the RG6 F connector, and then the connection simply failed, and no antenna was observed on the RG6 F side. If you need one of these devices, there is a solution. Eightwood makes a roughly $8 SMB adapter for RG6 that you may find by searching "smb to F RG6 adapter. ". It worked perfectly with this antenna and the RG-6 we ran to the roofline. Or you can pay attention to this issue and only screw down the included adapter once and leave it connected for a while. In other words, it works pretty well if nothing hits it and breaks it. If that is the case, you will probably need a more expensive, heavier duty model. As long as you aren't near a terrestrial repeater, you should have a clear view of the southern sky.

The Sirius antenna is a great outdoor part of the house
5/5

If you want exceptional reception on a Sirius radio indoor mounted, this is a must-have. Years ago, we used a traditional antenna receiver shape called a "clam". Only one or two bars were showing on the reception meter when the reception meter said there should be three. It was a good reception for a few days, but most of the time it was interrupted The antenna AND cable they recommend did not arrive. As a result, I ordered the antenna AND cable. antenna's cable end did not fit the cable end of the antenna, so an adapter had to be used. Rather than buying a 50' length of R6, I bought a 20' length of R6 with female ends. There is nothing to worry about! Only Three out of four is a steady reception! Radio is one of my favorite things. I definitely recommend this book!.

As you wait for a signal, be patient
5/5

A few months ago, I installed this on my tower tv antenna and ran the cable to my radio through the attic. There was no action taken. Unfortunately, the radio is no longer working. Having stressed and cried for 15 minutes because I was wasting my time, it finally kicked in and I was able to use the phones. It has been working great for the last three months (I have had it for three.

The receiver on my phone has full bars
5/5

My receiver now has full bars, just what I needed. My existing coaxial cable served as the cable for my TV. Due to the fact that I was no longer using cable TV, it made perfect sense to use the existing lines, which meant I did not have to run new wire. The kit includes a coaxial cable adapter that is about 18 inches long to connect the external antenna to your receiver. There is no need to use an adapter to go to a female on your coaxial cable because it has a female to coaxial jack. Although I did not use the mounting hardware, you can use the four mounting holes to screw on to the side of the house or mount it on a pole with the hardware that comes with it. In my case, the installation is near an existing area outdoors where cable used to enter I spent about 10 minutes on it. Now we have a perfect signal.

Signal strength has been greatly enhanced
5/5

On the , it is mounted. Signal strength has been greatly enhanced. Accessed it from the eave at the top of the house (there was no south-facing window, so the inside antenna was prone to dropping out every time a person crossed While I know it's a digital signal, I swear the quality of the sound has improved as well!.
