It took a few tries to get the placement just right so that the camera didn't appear to have a dark shadow from the ring. Install with your camera turned on and the slider in the open position. If you need to reposition the ring, gently pry it off with your fingers. Just make sure you don't lose the little dot that can get dislodged when you try to move it. If you accidentally dislodge the dot, it's simple to replace.

This is a laptop I purchased for work. I may be paranoid, but I've had a few signs that my boss was watching me through my webcam, and a sticky note wasn't cutting it. br>br>This small cover is useful because it slides back and forth without having to be completely removed. I've had the opportunity to put it to the test, and it's just big enough for the camera to see through when the slider is open. It was simple to put on, but take your time to make sure you put it on correctly. I had to scoot mine, and I'm worried that the adhesive didn't stick as well as it should have. br>br>The slider blends in very well with the laptop, and you'd never know it's there. It's also so thin that it allows the laptop to close completely while it's installed. br>br>I believe the adhesive will quickly wear away. Fortunately, I don't fidget with my laptop too much, but I believe that if I were to constantly open and close it and move it around, it would eventually fall off.

This item was not to my liking. The adhesive only stayed in place for a few minutes, even after thorough cleaning. Also, the facial recognition on the iPhone 11 X max does not work well. It wouldn't unlock until I entered my code after it was applied and it was sticking. This is a deal breaker for me.

These sliding lens covers are a little fiddly to put on, but they work well in tight spaces. A larger cover would not have fit the narrow strip of plastic around the screen's edge edge on my laptop camera, so I have one. I had no trouble fitting a cover over my phone's selfie camera, and I even managed to squeeze one over the main camera. The glue appears to be holding up well after six weeks. Although I've accidentally knocked the phone lens covers open, the sliding parts of the covers mostly stay where I put them. The main difficulty is remembering to close the covers after I've used the cameras! I was looking for something similar to this, and I found it.
