The flip cover for the c920S is already installed. The c920 is the same camera as the c900, but it does not have the flip cover.
Selected User Reviews For HUYUN The Webcam Privacy Shutter Protects Lens Cap Hood Cover Compatible for Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 & C930e & C922X C922x Pro
When I purchased a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 for my wife, it came with a fantastic little lens cover. What a brilliant concept! We had two other webcams that didn't come with a lens cover, so I tried this aftermarket lens cover on them. It's *exactly* like the Logitech-branded cover, which costs more. Win!.
I had been covering my webcam with tape and Post-it notes when it wasn't in use before purchasing this cover, but I was sick of wiping away the sticky residue. Because I was unaware that aftermarket covers for these webcams existed, I had to rely on tape and Post-it notes. Since I bought the webcam, I've been looking for a way to keep my privacy. I'm not sure how I came across third-party/aftermarket webcam covers, but I ended up on Amazon looking at various cover types from various brands. br>br>I have a wall-mounted computer case. Because the bottom of my case prevents a cover from being flipped all the way up, I needed a cover that wouldn't have to be flipped all the way up in order to stay in place. The HUYUN cover appeared to have enough friction at the hinge based on the description and reviews to maintain its position at any range between closed and fully open, and it does! It ended up being exactly what I wanted and needed. br>br>I was hesitant to buy this cover because I had read that it didn't fit the C920 in some reviews. The one I got, on the other hand, was very snug and secure. I can easily open the cover, and as I previously stated, there is enough friction at the hinge to keep the cover closed, partially open, or fully open. It does exactly what I need it to do for me.
This is a webcam lens cover. It fits well, is simple to install (you simply push it on to the front of the webcam), and simple to use (you simply flip it down to cover the lens when you want privacy and flip it back up when you want to use the cam) for the models listed. This is a low-cost method of ensuring that no one can look through your camera when you don't want them to - If you own one of the cameras listed (check the model number) and value privacy, this is a must-have.
My C920 is perfectly suited for this privacy shutter. The shutter opens and closes easily, but it isn't loose - it fits snugly. It will remain in the position in which you have placed it. As a result, I give it a five-star rating for what it is. br>br>I decided not to include price fluctuations in my review because they can fluctuate over time. But, in my opinion, these should be selling for around $2, not $10. Despite the fact that I paid $99 for it, it's still the cheapest alternative I've found to Logitech's even more expensive privacy shutter.
It's simple to use and very effective, and it's also the most affordable of these types of privacy caps I could find. STILL, it was four or five times the price it should have been, despite the fact that it was made for less than a dime. It's already an outrage that Logitech doesn't include something like this with their overpriced camera. I would have given it five stars if it had been at a reasonable price. I won't say anything because it wasn't the case.
It accomplishes the task at hand. It was the perfect fit for the camera. If used gently, it appears to be sturdy enough to last a long time. A physical barrier like this should be installed in front of every webcam. Don't rely on the software to turn off the camera when you want it to (often because you can't rely on yourself to remember the correct settings).
I'm glad I put off writing this review for a while. The Privacy Shutter initially appeared to be too easy to remove. I decided to push it a little harder after a week. Doh! It snaps into place and doesn't move around. It's still possible to move it left or right. Furthermore, when raised, the shutter remains in place and is simple to raise and lower. Having a privacy shutter ensures that no one can spy on you even when your camera is turned on. Also, during Zoom conferences, I can lower the shutter and no one will be able to see where I went or what I was doing. It's an excellent privacy shutter. br>br> To put it on, all you have to do is press down hard.
It does exactly what it says it will. My Logitech C922x webcam is compatible with this case. The camera is squeezed into the cover, which is friction fit. The hinge is held open by a small amount of friction. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done. It was the cheapest privacy cover I could find on Amazon, so I purchased it.
