Except for a perceived lack of understanding of the product's capabilities, I would have given this a five-star rating. The product description mentions 180 degrees of movement, and the up position has a pleasant feeling of "locking" in place. When the camera is set to a down look angle, the flap tends to hang away from the camera, allowing light in but still blocking pictures. Finally, despite the cover's good fit to the camera, it is only held in place by gravity, and because it is so light, it tended to come off when lifted, necessitating the use of double-sided foam tape because regular tape was too thin to hold. Good product, but it could have gone a long way if the manufacturer had included instructions on how to use it rather than leaving it to the customer's imagination. It would have been a nice touch to include mounting tape.
First, watch the vendor's quick instructional video on how to properly and completely snap it on top of the webcam so it stays in place. br>br>I just got it, but snapping it on wasn't too difficult (if you don't hear a slight "click," you're not doing it correctly). br>br>The shutter cover is very functional - When fully flipped up, it stays open, and when fully flipped down, it stays close to the camera, and when tilted down, you can gently push it in to keep it flush with the camera. br>br>So, if you're worried about it pulling away from the camera when it's tilted down at an angle, here's what you need to know: At a significant down angle, the shutter/cover on the one I got stays flush with the camera. br>br>I also liked how it was a few dollars less expensive than the others that didn't appear to have these extra features. It's all about the details! Sure, something like this should be a little less expensive, but I like it because it's a specialty item that works well. br>br>The only drawback is that it obscures the two curved white lights on either side of the webcam lens that indicate whether or not the webcam is active. br>br>You can see a sliver of white light shining through where the hinge is, but if you're worried about when the camera (and its microphones) are on, you'll have to pay closer attention or flip up the shutter to check the status light. br>br>It would have been better if the shutter had been a little narrower so that the webcam activity light was not obscured. So that is my suggestion for making it better to the manufacturer. br>br>Aside from that, I think it's been working out well so far. When the camera is turned on and the shutter is pressed, the audience sees a solid black screen rather than the yellow blotchiness of a small post-it note in front of the lens. For work at home, it's a little more professional.
This cover is the perfect fit for my C920 Pro, and it allows me to keep a small bubble level on top of it at all times. Installing it is a breeze, and using it is exactly what it should be - simple. easy. The front flap stays in place without any fiddling or tricks, allowing it to be raised or lowered with a single finger. br>br>The CloudValley Webcam Cover is made of rigid and smooth plastic. This makes it simple to clean, and I don't anticipate any warping, scratches, discoloration, or other damage as a result of regular use. There's just enough give for your Logitech camera to snap securely in place, which is great if it gets moved around. Mine is attached to an articulated arm next to my monitor, and I have to remove it from time to time for travel or lighting changes. The lens is protected by the cover, which stays in place. br>br>Previously, I had relied on a sticky note, which was prone to falling off and occasionally leaving a residue on the lens. The only long-term solution is to use a webcam cover. option for a limited time br>br>I think we all wish things like this were cheaper, but given the price of the camera and how reliant many of us have become on them, this is a small price to pay for effective physical insurance.
After reading the reviews, I decided to take a chance. Based on what I read, there was a chance I'd get something terrible that didn't lock into place, and if that was the case, oh well, I'll send it back. What I got was exactly what was shown in the picture. A camera cover made of plastic with a hinge. On my 922, it snaps into place and stays put when I open or close the lid. Is it made for a low price? br>br>Is it made for a low price? You bet. This hinge is entirely made of plastic. I'm guessing it was 3D printed in a hurry. But it works; the lid stays up when the camera is in use and down when the camera is not in use. Logitech should be ashamed of themselves for not making their own - I'm grateful to whomever created it.
This is the offer you've been looking for. It positively clips over the entire top of the camera housing, and the privacy cover flips up and down with no effort or drama. br>br>I tried a few of the toilet seat-like ones, and they were all awful. In a few weeks, they lose their grip on the camera face, and when you try to open it, you'll invariably pull the whole thing off.
I was a little hesitant at first, but it was a reasonable price (7. I decided to take a chance because the price was only 99 cents. I'm glad I chose this one over the circular one that appears to stick out the front, because reviews said that one felt cheap and didn't stay closed. br>THIS ONE, on the other hand, snaps right on top, the cover flips up and stays open when needed, and simply hangs down when not. It is not made of flimsy plastic and appears to have been included with the camera. It's preferable to using tape because I occasionally forget to replace it.
It looks great, as you can see in my photo. I've read it's loose or maybe I'm mistaken, but this snapped right to the camera; the cover feels a little loose when the camera is covered, which isn't a problem, and it stays up when you need it; hopefully, this will continue to work well in the future. I ordered another for my Logitech at home after this one arrived. I don't see why I should give less than the maximum number of stars available right now.
