MoimTech Privacy Cover for Logitech Webcam Camera C920/ C930e /c920x/C922x

There are two versions of the Logitech C920 webcam: The C920 is available with or without a privacy cover, and the C920S is available with or without a privacy cover. The privacy cover on the C920S appeared to be an afterthought at best, and more like a blemish on the camera's face at worst. So, instead of getting the C920 with the cover, I went with this MoimTech cover. It's a perfect fit, made of high-quality plastic, and (in my opinion) looks a million times better than Logitech's solution. And, while I can't say for sure, I believe the C920 MoimTech combo was less expensive than the C920S. In any case, I strongly suggest the C920 MoimTech cover over the C920S as a more solid/better option.

It's a little too big. The package was damaged when it arrived. The cover is attempting to close on its own. For my Logitech Webcam Camera C922x, I ordered the MoimTech Privacy Cover. The package was damaged when it arrived. I used super glue to secure the two pieces that had broken off. These pieces make up half of the mechanism that secures the Privacy Cover to the Webcam (the hinge is unaffected). It works now that it's been repaired. br>The cover is held in place by gravity rather than being attached to the camera. The lens cover does not stay in place, either. The webcam cover is strewn all over the place. When I change the webcam angle, it easily peels off. The cover is stubbornly refusing to close. I've experimented with a variety of perspectives. The cover hinge is too loose, according to your findings. When I do manage to keep the cover open, I find that closing it causes the entire cover to come off. The plastic has a flimsy feel to it. I'm not sure how long it'll last. If/when this one fails, I'll definitely look for another cover. Fits my Logitech C920 perfectly, which I've had for three years. It fits snugly on top of the camera and covers and uncovers the lense with ease. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I've received a few inquiries about the cover's attachment and operation. When you press it against the camera, you can feel and hear it securely snap/click into place, and it won't fall off easily. Between the snap-on part and the cover itself, there is a hinge. br>br>When you're ready to use it, just lift the cover with your finger. Simply push the cover down to close it when you're finished. br>br>So far, I've had between 50 and 75 video conference calls with the cover, and it's still working perfectly.

I was very excited to add some privacy to my computer setup after receiving this item. The MoimTech Privacy Cover is, unfortunately, of poor quality. The plastic is flimsy, the cover flap isn't securely attached to the mounting piece, and the mounting piece doesn't snap on snugly to the top of the camera like it should. Overall, this piece is functional because it can rest on your camera, but there isn't much to ensure that it stays put. It could easily be knocked off by a minor bump on your desk. My recommendation is to purchase a different brand because you will not receive value for your money with this one.

Yes, I believe it is for a C920 webcam. It has the same shape, size, and other characteristics as the original, but it does not "snap" onto it in any way. This thing teeters on the edge of the webcam, ready to fall off - An errant elbow, rushing past it, stubbing your toe on the table and rocking it off are all examples of how you can damage a table. br>br>I probably should've just gotten one that was taped to my face and only covered the lens area. This is probably a better option than one of those generic jobbies.

To begin, I'd like to point out that this lens cover is split into two sections. The main housing, which sits atop the camera, and the second front piece, which attaches to the main housing and covers it. br>br>The hinge and catch are the most serious flaws. The front cover's plastic pegs aren't long enough to catch in the holes on the main housing, causing it to simply fall off. Second, the main housing on top of the camera is not secure. When you try to flip the cover up while everything is still in place, the front cover and the other piece that is supposed to rest on top of the camera both fall off. What a waste of time and money, not to mention a shoddy design. br>br>A small double-sided adhesive strip can be used to secure the top portion to the camera, but the hinge mechanism must be more robust and fit into place properly. There is an excessive amount of tolerance where it hinges into place, causing it to fall off. What a colossal squandering of resources. This item should have cost no more than three dollars.

I like the way the cover looks and how simple it was to put together. It works with my Logitech c922x webcam, which I purchased. Because of one flaw that can be extremely annoying, I gave it a two-star rating. I wasn't expecting much, after all, it's only a cover. Well, for me, the main issue is that keeping the cover's lid up is a pain! If you position your camera in such a way that it leans down slightly (as I do because my monitor is higher than most stands), the flap will constantly fall and cover the camera's lens. When it does stay up, even the tiniest tap or bump on my desk causes it to fall back down. So my only option is to remove the whole thing during calls or meetings and then clip it back on when I'm done. It's extremely infuriating, and I'm not sure why they designed a cover with a flap that doesn't stay up when flipped up.

It was inexpensive and far superior to anything I could have made myself. Purchasing the C920 without the pre-installed software was too expensive. I figured I'd just use paper, a tissue, or a decorated toilet paper tube as a temporary cover until I could get the privacy cover installed. I came here to buy one because months of this homemade nonsense had become too annoying and unreliable. This attaches quickly, is simple to operate, and stays in place when I need it. br>br>I gave it a 4 star rating for quality because the flip cover snapped off almost instantly when I tried to install it. The good news is that It was quickly replaced. The flip up cover, however, was never perfectly level after that, no matter what I did. Although the 'hinge' area has bowed slightly, it still performs its function. I'm not going to take it off or fiddle with it any longer. br>br>It's a low-cost, high-impact privacy shield.
