I have an original Macintosh with a woo hoo dot matrix printer that I got for the super special 2700$ (no hard drive, floppy swap) from a deal I got when I was a student at the University of Washington. Despite working for Microsoft for 23 years, I still use Apple products and was recently curious what I could do with my ancient ancestor! I could use Apple products as a graphic designer until 128-bit encryption was introduced after 9/11. Anyone have any suggestions for what I could do with my vintage gen 1 Mac other than turn it into a fish tank?
There are two features on the Apple 2 Pencil that none of the clones have.br>br>1. Toggle between modes (Erase, Color Palette, and so on) with a double tap.
2. Pressure sensitivity (essential if you're going to do any serious drawing). br>br>Though number one isn't a deal breaker, number two is. When I'm drawing, I love the Apple Pencil 2's pressure sensitivity. If you don't require pressure sentivity, you can save nearly $100 by purchasing one of the many clones available on Amazon.
If you only have a 12 volt battery, how do you charge the 2nd generation pencil? 9 ipad pro 2nd generation 2018? Is it true that you can only charge it with a third-generation iPad?
Actually, this pencil works with the 2nd generation pro; I looked it up and asked customer service, and they confirmed that it does; therefore, if you have the second generation pro 11 inch, this pencil will work.

- br>br>The Bottom Line:br>I use my Apple Pencil 2 every day while taking notes on my iPad Pro 11. The Apple Pencil 2 is a significant improvement over the Apple Pencil 1, almost solely due to the fact that it can be charged by connecting it to your iPad. Simply because of this feature, the Apple Pencil is a worthwhile purchase. The Apple Pencil 2 also writes smoothly and without lag. It feels great in your hands. The only drawback is that the pencil is a little pricey, but that is typical of most Apple products. Overall, if you have a newer version of the iPad Pro, I would recommend the Apple Pencil 2.
I'm a beginner artist trying to learn how to do digital art, and I've had a difficult time adjusting to the new medium as someone who has always worked with pencil and paper. This device, on the other hand, has made the transition incredibly simple for me. I would strongly advise getting this if you're a traditional artist looking to branch out into digital art.
The box is brand new and has never been opened. It works perfectly.
Visually, there doesn't appear to be much of a difference between the first and second versions of the Apple pencil, but this is iteration 2. The upgrade to 0 is well worth it! It's never been easier to charge and connect. The pencil works great for drawing, sketching, and drafting, and it works particularly well with autoCAD, morpholio, and other drawing apps, which I use as an interior architect. My workflow is significantly improved by the tab on the pen that brings the eraser to the front. Although it may not appear to be much, Apple's addition of one flat side to the overall round pencil design makes a huge difference in holding comfort, and the fact that it attaches magnetically to the side of my iPad pro is extremely convenient because I no longer have to look for the pencil. It's exactly where it should be, and it's not in the way. If you're a serious graphic designer or even a casual user, this is an absolute must-have. Interacting with the pencil on the iPad is also a great deal of fun!.
I placed my order yesterday and received it today thanks to Prime. Everything appeared to be in order and official until I looked inside and discovered that the Apple Pencil was nowhere to be found! For some reason, all that was left were bolts and screws. Little yellow stains could also be found beneath the bolts and screws. Later, I noticed that it said, "Designed in California by Apple. " " There was a grammatical error! Because I had to return it, they're sending me a new one. Why did that happen is still a mystery to me.
Amazon advertised both of these items as "new. " "The pencil died last week. " There is a one-year warranty, so it's not a major issue. The warranty on my pencil's serial number, however, had already expired, according to Apple. The Apple warranty department is looking into it because I was able to produce an Amazon receipt showing that Amazon sold it to me as "new," but they said it wasn't the first time they'd seen something like this. This is the final straw for me with Amazon, and combined with reports that they are banning books based on political viewpoints, I'm no longer willing to give them my Prime money. The pencil makes it easier to use the iPad, but Apple should be ashamed for charging $130 for something that should have cost no more than $50. We also looked at the iPad's serial number. At the very least, Amazon nailed it.
It easily connects to the new iPad, and I love that it charges without the need for a plug! Apple actually listened to our suggestions and implemented them! This is something that I adore as an artist.
I enjoy using my Apple Pencil 2, but the price is prohibitive - especially if you spend $900 on the 11-inch iPad Pro. I wish Apple would include it or, at the very least, allow you to add it for half price when you buy it. It's a must-have tool, especially if you're a digital artist or prefer to take notes by hand instead of typing. Apps that excel in this regard include: Notoriety for note-taking For graphic design, I'm using ProCreate. It was a perfect match.
