The two stand supports are made of metal plate hinges with a plastic outer shell on the inside, and the rest of the stand is made of aluminum.

Questions & Answers

Will it fall over if I draw on the top of my iPad Pro 12"? (I'm enquiring because other stands have done so.) ?

I use mine a lot for iPad drawing (on 10- and 11-inch iPads instead of 12-inch iPads). 9). It remains fairly stable on its own in a low or middle orientation. However, if you position it in a high position, it will tip over because the base is relatively light in comparison to the arms and iPad. BUT I've discovered a couple of simple solutions. The most basic method is to simply place any weight on the base's front portion. My stapler from my desk comes in handy. Using something simple to secure it, such as a command trip, is a more elegant solution. I put a small strip of command strip on the bottom of the base (you don't need much), and another small strip on my work desk, living room table, and anywhere else I might need it "secured" while I draw (I have a few on my desk in various positions). The stand can then be secured to any of these locations and removed when not in use. You could probably get away with using putty instead. Keep in mind that you only need to do this if you want to draw with it raised high (like I do).

What is the lowest height that the tablet's base can be from the table?

The bottom edge of the tablet is about 1/2" above my desk when the stand is adjusted to hold it straight up (vertical, so the face is at 90 degrees to my desk). The back of the tablet is about 1 1/4" above my desk when the stand is folded flat and the tablet is 'laying flat' (facing up). As a result, the lowest height is determined by the tablet angle, but it is always within those parameters (between 1/2" and 1 1/4").

Is it possible to fit a 14-inch 2-inch screen in this case? 1 laptop? When I'm trading and studying, I intend to use it as a tablet. ?

I returned mine because the plate is too small for a 14" laptop or tablet. This was supposed to be for a 12th grade project. With the case on, the 9" iPad would not fit. The holder's lip isn't thick enough to hold larger devices. The joint connections appeared to be strong, but they were difficult to deploy from a folded to a standing position. I informed the manufacturer of the problems and offered product improvement suggestions. We'll see what they come up with, or nothing at all, depending on what they come up with.

Using the iPad to draw
5/5

I'm a professional illustrator who prefers to draw on my iPad over anything else these days. I started getting neck and upper back pain from hunching over my work after switching from a desk top/tablet setup to an iPad. I knew I needed something to elevate my iPad to a more vertical position in order to relieve my back pain. I chose this stand because it appeared to be the most durable option at the best price, and I really like it; it easily withstands the pressure of my hand when drawing, even with heavy strokes. When I'm writing or drawing with a lot of pressure, I'll hold my other hand lightly at the base to keep it from tipping. This is fantastic, and I'm so happy I got it. My back is no longer strained from bending over my computer screen.

Exactly what I was looking for
5/5

This was purchased for a specific purpose, but I believe it would be useful for other purposes as well. I have a 12 on my report card. I want to use my MacBook Pro as a second monitor with a 9" iPad Pro, which is a fairly large tablet. I returned a previous stand and decided to try this one. When I'm on the road, I use my MacBook Pro, which is propped up on a desk or table. When I'm at home, I use a nice "Rain Design M Stand," which raises the Macbook three inches in the air. (It's on an angle, so it's 6 inches). This Kabcon tablet stand allows me to easily adjust the height of the tablet in relation to the macbook's screen, whether it's close to the desk or 6" in the air. The stand's joints appear to be tight enough that the tablet could be used as a tablet (touch screen), but I mostly use it to turn the tablet into a PC display or a TV-like display. The Kabcon stand is strong and sturdy, but it folds down to less than 7x7x2, so it won't take up as much space in my backpack as the other table stand I returned. Although the listing claims that it is made of aluminum, one reviewer pointed out that the two pillars connecting the base plate to the tablet plate are plastic on the outside, if not entirely plastic. I believe it is a benefit that helps people lose weight, and I don't see how these could break in any circumstance. The aluminum plates completely cover the plastic parts when it's in my backpack. When I use it, the Tablet is far more delicate than the stand, so I don't believe I've been duped, but if it matters to you, make sure you're aware of this. I don't have an iPad case, but I believe this would fit most cases. This is going to outlast my iPad, in my opinion. So, what would make it a six? Stars? Perhaps a cloth bag that would fit around it and protect it from the aluminum while in my backpack. If I had the chance, what would I do differently? The rubber caps that sit on the bent metal that holds the Tablet up can slip off while you're carrying it around, so I'd prefer it in Space Grey to match my iPad, but the silver color is really nice. Also, the rubber caps that sit on the bent metal that holds the Tablet up can slip off while you're carrying it around. It would be nice to have an extra set of those. I wrap it in the light plastic bags it came in during shipping and keep an eye out for the caps whenever I take it out of my backpack.

The iPad Pro 12 is held in this case
5/5

9" from top to bottom!   This thing is built like a tank, which helps with stability. I've been on the lookout for a sturdy stand to hold one of the new iPad Pro 12's. Vertically, 9-inch tablets This is the case. Even with a case of average thickness! br>Here's a video of what I'm talking about. The legs, by the way, are made of plastic, but you'd never know it. They're tough and beefy, and the paint job blends in nicely with the metal. br>The pivot points are tight, but I don't use it as a mobile stand for traveling, so this is a benefit to me. The weight is just right to feel solid without being too heavy, and they include an extra pair of rubber cushions for the section that grips the tablet's bottom, which is a nice touch. This is the stand to get if you want a very stable stand.

I was disappointed to learn that quality control would allow this product to be shipped to any customer in the state. Because of the strong resistance, this is not a case of a plastic cover that can be strapped back into place. The packaging had not been damaged in any way to account for this. Although it securely holds my Surface Pro 4, I had hoped for a more attractive product. If the company is able to resolve this issue, I will update my review. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I'm a happy camper thanks to Ebby at Kabcon. My excellent replacement has made my Starbucks college friends envious of my stand's form and function, which allows me to easily hold my Note Pro 4 at a great height; In terms of style, it's completely safe and adjustable. I'm now the proud owner of this wonderful vehicle.

This is fantastic! This is fantastic! It has a heaviness and a power to it
5/5

On the bed, it does not wobble. I wanted it to be able to read in bed, so that was a major consideration for me. To get it into the desired position, you must use a lot of force when opening it up. I looked for a switch or a button but couldn't find one. Brutal power! But, despite my age, I was able to complete the task. It seems like it should be much more expensive.

It's just not feasible
3/5

This is a very well-written piece of work. The tolerances on this unit are too tight, and any kind of adjustment requires two strong hands. I knew the tightness was mentioned in the description, but I wasn't expecting to have to fight this stand every time I wanted to change angles. Back- forward and upward- There are no separate adjustments, which I find to be counterproductive. For me, it's natural. It's constructed in the style of a fortification. However, there are numerous 2-person households. Even minor adjustments require left-handed work.
