In spite of what I wrote in my earlier review, these cartridges do work on my Brother HL-900 Brother support misled me when they told me that the printer, when updated to the latest firmware, would detect and reject any files that had not been created by me Cartridges from the original manufacturer. It was a great relief to receive a communication from the vendor outlining exact steps for installing I had a bit of trouble getting the process to work at first, but eventually I was able to print normally after several tries. The reason I am holding back a star is because I think the vendor should include all the steps in the box with the cartridge. That way there would be no need to fiddle around. The non-OEM cartridge had been preventing me from printing for several days so I went back to Staples and bought a new OEM cartridge to determine if the problem was the cartridge. It could be an OEM cartridge or printer. As soon as I installed the new OEM cartridge in the printer, it immediately began printing backed-up documents Jobs that have been logged. To be honest, I was quite skeptical of this purchase, and if it wasn't for Amazon's outstanding return policy, I probably wouldn't have created the purchase. One genuine Brother cartridge costs about three times as much as this two pack of cartridges, which led me to doubt the product's quality before I made the In spite of the case being slightly different from that of the Brother printer, it can easily be installed and has produced the same quality of prints.
