Questions & Answers

Is it compatible with Linux?

It is, but only if you are willing to put your life on the line. Are you okay with waking up one morning, padding to the bathroom, and seeing a cybernetic drawing glove implant where there used to be only smooth, natural human flesh? "I didn't ask for this," you'll tell yourself, and you'll find yourself drawn deeper and deeper into a global conspiracy that makes you wonder what it means to be human in a world where almost everyone is as much machine as man. br>If you can imagine yourself being okay with such a future, if you CAN in fact ask for it, then I believe you might be able to contact Huion support and ask them how to set it up on a Linux machine.br>br>Just be careful not to anger the Artificial Superintelligent Overlords; They are happy to assist, but patronizing attitudes are frowned upon, and I cannot guarantee that if their algorithms detect any hint of patronizing, they will file for a corporate name change to "Skynet" and launch Project Doomsday. br>br>Best of luck to you, fellow human. Is this to prevent the screen from being activated while the palm is resting on it?

I'm not sure if that was the intention of the gloves, but I've discovered that when I wear them, my palm, pinkie, and ring finger do not activate the screen. I can't scroll, click, or zoom with those two fingers, for example, and I'm finding that I'm pressing buttons less accidentally as a result. Also, I'm using it with a Wacom Cintiq, so I'm not sure how these things would differ if I used a Huion touch screen or something like an I-Pad. pad.

Is the Surface Pro 3 compatible with this?

I'm not certain. I have a Surface Pro 2 rather than a Surface Pro 3, but I believe the reason mine didn't work well is that my screen gets hot, and it could still detect my hand once the glove was warm enough. br>I'm not sure if this is of any use.

I only color with felt tip pens, markers, and colored pencils on occasion. Is this going to keep the markers from smearing?

Yes, but make sure the marker is slightly dry before moving on to the next step. Wet mediums will still smudge, but dry markings will require a lot of pressure.

This is the glove for you if you're on a tight budget or just want to save a few bucks
4/5

If you're on a tight budget, which you most likely are if you've recently purchased a Wacom Cintiq (they're not cheap), ) This glove gets the job done. If you can afford it, however, choose something with a higher level of quality assurance. It won't cost much more, perhaps $5-$10 more. (CAPS are used so that people can see what I'm talking about. ) ) THIS IS NOT A PALM REJECTING GLOVE, so if you have a tablet running Windows, Android, or iOS, this is not the glove for you. Reduce the number of results returned. I hope I'm not coming across as rude; I'm just trying to prevent people from wasting money on things they don't want.

It's a nice glove, but it doesn't help with touch device palm rejection
4/5

This glove has mostly met my expectations. They work really well to reduce friction as I draw on my graphics tablet (I have two, one at home and one on the go). I've noticed a significant increase in both the speed and quality of my work because I'm now able to make really good sweeping movements the first time (rather than using ctrl-s). z until I've figured out what I'm doing). So that part is nice. br>br>The only drawback is that touch sensitive devices can still be operated through the glove, which is one of the main reasons I got it in the first place: I wanted to draw on touch devices without having to worry about my palm. Although most software and devices now have acceptable palm rejection, it is still an issue, and I purchased to avoid it. I only deducted one star because I believe that if I had read more carefully before purchasing, I would have realized that this was the case - However, I assumed that was the whole point of these gloves, so I didn't think it was a feature. In any case, it's a good glove. br>br> I'm still on the lookout for a solution to my palm rejection problem.

The iPad Pro 2018 is fantastic, and I purchased two of them
5/5

The palm rejection component will pique people's interest the most. This glove is excellent at preventing unseen and unwanted lines from being caused by light touches. It will not activate the screen with a light touch, but it can be done with a hard press. It's important to remember that. It's excellent value for money, and mine arrived in small cardboard envelopes, which I store when not in use. I put one in the pocket of my jeans by accident and had no idea where it was for weeks. This is what prompted me to purchase a second one, as working on the iPad without it was excruciatingly painful.

The best ten dollars I've ever spent, and I'm embarrassed I didn't do it sooner
5/5

I'm ashamed I didn't buy one sooner because it was the best $10 I've ever spent. My life has been made SO MUCH EASIER as a result of it. There will be no more unexpectedly jumping to a different part of the screen or accidentally selecting the wrong layer. The glove is a little loose on my hand, but not bad enough to prevent me from drawing. There's also enough room for my long ass nails to wiggle around in. Overall, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Rather, invest in a knit fingerless glove
3/5

This didn't sit well with me, so I don't use it anymore. To be honest, I'm not sure where it is. br>br>Because my hand gets clammy when I draw for long periods of time, I figured this would help it not stick to my tablet. It does help with that, but the tablet's surface is so slick that I'm constantly messing up my lines as a result of it. I expected it to provide the ideal amount of friction, but it does not. The fit is better for larger hands, but it's too tight for my smaller hands. br>br>Just get a fleece or knit fingerless glove and you'll be fine.

TEN STARS ARE VALUE FOR MONEY
5/5

I use Microsoft Fresh Paint for a lot of my digital painting. Without having to constantly erase smudges, I can get very comfortable while working. You'll forget you're wearing it because it's so light. And you can get details like the ones in one of my paintings. Where is the ten-star button when you need it?.

It isn't meant to be a derogatory statement
3/5

It's just a piece of fabric with a fouling smell. Unlike many of the people who have left positive reviews, I primarily use my iPad as a note-taking device. Not drawing, but taking pictures. When I place my hand on the screen to write, the iPad detects the seam on the outside edge of my hand and diverts my writing. It's a short distance. It makes writing at a normal pace impossible. To write effectively, I need to keep my hand off the screen. br>br>The fabric is thin, which is both a plus and a disadvantage. It's light enough that it doesn't make my hand sweat, but the material still allows me to recognize my fingers. To be honest, the quality is poor; it appears as if I could have sewn it myself, particularly the wrist hem, which is only loosely stitched. It is one piece of fabric cut, folded in half, and then sewn along the pinky edge of the wrist and hand, and it is the quality of an item purchased at a dollar store. It will only last a couple of months with daily use before falling apart completely, at best. br>br>I believe it is best to find a knit glove if you rest your hand on the screen while writing, as there will be no outside edge seam. However, I believe that if the glove was cut from the material differently, the seam would be on the thumb side of the wrist rather than the outside edge. Furthermore, this business does not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges, even for store credit. Fortunately, it is inexpensive. br>br>However, I am disappointed that this is an "Amazon Choice," which is the main reason I chose this glove over the others available, as the reviews are all of similar quality. Even if other spandex gloves had the same seam problem, another company might have been willing to refund me because I am so disappointed.

For Cintiq or graphic tablet artists, this is an absolute must-have! For the price, I was hesitant to purchase it and was considering simply purchasing a thin winter glove and cutting the fingers off, but I decided to purchase it instead
5/5

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it looked and how well it worked with my Cintiq 13HD, which has a matte display (glossy graphic tablets will work even better). When I draw, my hands sweat profusely, but this prevented any smudges from my hands on the display, which was ideal for me. I can't imagine working with my Cintiq without it. I was concerned that it would be too large for my small hands, but this was not a problem because it is one size fits all. People with larger hands than mine will almost certainly have an easier time with it, so don't be concerned about it being too small. So, overall, it has a nice feel to it, it fits well, and it prevents smudges. A little pricey.
