It's true, I must confess. This tablet was enjoyable to use. The price is reasonable, and it accomplishes the task at hand. However, as this was my first screened tablet, I was disappointed to discover how easily the pen scratched it. I am a woman with a light touch. I used the glove to protect my new tablet from dust and fingerprints, but none of that seemed to matter because the tablet's cryptonight is its own pen that comes with it. I expected scratches to appear over time because nothing is scratch-free forever. However, there were numerous scratches even on the first day. The screen's back is completely scratched after only two weeks of use. I had the urge to cry. I shaved down the nib, which appears to have helped, but the screen still scratches easily with normal use. The lines that are generated as a result of use annoy me and cause me to lose focus on my work. You'd think that if iPad tablets used as secondary drawing tools don't scratch, a tablet designed specifically for digital art would be tough as well. However, it appears that this is not the case. How disappointing that after spending nearly $200 on it, it already appears to be a worn-out screen.
This, however, is a fantastic offer! The pressure sensitivity is excellent, and the pen's feel on the screen has just enough texture to avoid being uncomfortable; I also appreciate the inclusion of a small hand glove. Because I have such a large monitor and a lot more cords than I'm used to ((Any Monitor tablet would have the USB/HDMI/Wall Plug in cords to go with it)), it's a bit of a transition to look at this screen vs looking at my screen, but I'll have to adjust my set up to better accommodate it. Drawing it, on the other hand, was a welcome change of pace. br>br>You can easily customize the hot keys and pen buttons to suit your needs! This is an excellent offer!.
1. br>br> Check to see if you have an HDMI port!! I had to buy an adapter in the end, but that was entirely my fault for not doing more research.
2. There are a LOT of wires, which can be a pain to clean up, store, and constantly plug in. br>3. The pen lags really badly every now and then, which is annoyingbr>br>other than that, it works great!.
I can see what I'm drawing on it, so it's a lot easier to use. The screen is ideal for sketching; it's comfortable to use and a good size. Here's a sketch I did on it; it also supports Clip Studio Paint Pro!.
- When I opened the box, I was disappointed to find that the only plug included was a US plug
Gaomon appears to have changed the contents of the package from previous purchasers, who received global plug options. Not a deal breaker, but an annoyance that I now have yet another device for which I must remember to bring a 3rd party converter when I travel internationally.
- The bigger problem for some users is that if their laptop or desktop does not have HDMI out, they will have trouble finding a working display converter. Isn't it true that you can't use the tablet if it doesn't have images on it? My laptop is only a few years old, but because it only has VGA or DisplayPort as options, I've had to spend money on converters that have ultimately failed. (I do have a modern desktop with HDMI out, but that isn't nearly as portable as this tablet. ) ) It would have been nice, at the very least, if the worldwide plugs were no longer included, to throw in a cheap HDMI cable. > Instead, this tablet was used to test a VGA converter.
This would be ideal as a replacement for a non-working computer. screen display tablet, or simply a handy tablet that is very portable and convenient in size while still performing well. It was incredibly simple to set up, especially if you've set up any other screen tablet before because it's the same (note that screen tablets require an HDMI and USB cable, as well as a power outlet: The screen is slick and matte, and the pen glides across it smoothly. It's also extremely long-lasting and durable. I haven't noticed any marks or scratches in the time I've had it (the colors and graphics are also very nice!). The pen does not require batteries and includes a holder as well as a variety of extra nibs. One thing I was unsure about before getting the tablet was calibration (how accurate the pen and cursor match up). However, this was not an issue because you can customize the calibration by how you hold the pen and redo it as many times as you need. br>Overall, I believe this product is well worth much more than it is currently being sold for. I also have a second-screen tablet, which I purchased for around $500, and the Gaomon pd1161 performs admirably. The size is the only difference.
This tablet was a dream to work with once I got it set up and calibrated. I really like how it has a screen that mirrors what's on the computer. That way, you can switch from looking at the computer to looking at the tablet without taking a break, refreshing your eyes and posture. If there is ever a problem, the people at GAOMON are fantastic to work with. 100% would recommend
(The calibration was a little off when I first plugged it in, but that was easily fixed by redoing the calibration. ) ) Setting it up was a breeze. br>I was ecstatic to discover that the pen does not require charging, which is usually the case with less expensive tablets. br>br>It's also worth mentioning that the customer service team is absolutely fantastic and was extremely helpful with any questions I had. You can contact them via Amazon Message, email, or live chat on their website. br>br>Overall, it's a good tablet, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, low-cost drawing display.
