Questions & Answers

Why is it necessary for a customer to disable their anti-virus software? To get your driver, do you need anti-virus software? Is there a keylogger in your program?

Bull. Any software (driver) worth its salt would never advise you to disable your anti-virus software. software that prevents viruses Is this something that any reputable driver software asks you to do? No! Never in a million years would I turn off my anti-virus software. Anything can be a virus. If a driver or software asks you to do something like this, it's a huge red flag. And the person who said it's perfectly normal doesn't know what they're talking about and is simply asking for it. OR they're a part of the company and are attempting to defraud you. It's your choice, but don't cry if you end up with a nasty problem as a result of it.

Is it possible to wear the glove on your left hand?

Yes, the glove supports both the left and right hand; if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. Thank you for your interest in the GAOMON M10K 2018 art tablet.

Students type answers into a google document (via insert a text box) as directed by the teacher. Is it possible to write the answer in the text box using this method?

It's funny you brought it up because I once drew on a Twitch textbox and it calculated what I wrote. It's absolutely insane.

This is a fantastic tablet
5/5

I've been doing digital art for 7 years and this is fantastic; I've only purchased lower-end/cheaper tablets to save money and because I'm not a professional, but I've used wacoms and screen tablets and this is superior! It feels very light and clean, and it comes with a glove, bag, and other accessories. It's a great deal for the price! It really works! I've attached some of the artwork I've created with it!.

Spyware? Wants to take a screenshot of the computer screen! Huion driver, not Gaomon! Furthermore, the mouse mode is not working
3/5

To upgrade to Mac OS Catalina, I completely erased my computer, erasing all traces of previous drivers. I started over with a clean slate and installed the Gaomon driver. It asked permission to record my screen right away (as seen in the screenshot). Then I noticed that the Gaomon tablet had the same problem with the cursor jumping across the screen as the Huion H950P (which I had bought and returned last week). I went to uninstall the driver because I was fed up, and I noticed that the files related to the Gaomon driver were named Huion (see screenshot). Remember, I was working on a brand new operating system installation that was completely erased. br>br>How come it asks for my permission to record my screen? Why are Huion drivers being installed by the Gaomon driver? I was wondering if I could adjust my workflow due to the mouse mode being broken. However, the desire to record my screen and the Huion nonsense were both deal breakers. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: When I called an Amazon Expert about the Huion problem, she told me that the mouse jumping across the screen was a known problem. Since the Gaomon and Huion drivers appear to be the same (they even had the same version number, 14), 4) I'm guessing that this Gaomon model has caused problems for other Amazon customers.

This isn't a professional-grade product (it's not a WACOM, for example)
3/5

I'm a professional designer, illustrator, and photo retoucher with experience in New York City and other international markets (you might recognize some of my work). br>br>I own two WACOM tablets—older models, and drivers for my WACOM models were no longer maintained with the most recent Mac OS update. They were perfectly functional until a dozen weeks ago, when an overdue OS update effectively broke them for good, and I had no choice but to go out and buy a new tablet. br>br>I (misguidedly) believed I could save money by choosing a less expensive option. (To my great disappointment), the GAOMON device is not cheap. br>br>It's a shame, because the GAOMON hardware looks and feels good, but the software driver and preferences are at best third-rate; in comparison to a competitor like WACOM, the user has very little control over anything in the GAOMON's bare-bones software. Software for bones with the bare minimum of device preferences. LET ME EXPLAIN HOW THIS AFFECTS PERFORMANCE. br>br>LEAVE IT TO ME TO EXPLAIN HOW THIS AFFECTS PERFORMANCE. br>br>AS OTHERS HAVE STATED, "mouse mode" is essentially non-functional. it is useful My monitor is 36 inches wide. With a monitor this size, tracking pixels to position provides very little precision, so Mouse Mode is essential for professional users doing design work on a large monitor. TO EXPLAIN: br>br> br>In regular mode, the tablet's X/Y coordinates correspond to the screen's X/Y coordinates. Drop your stylus 1/3 from the tablet's left edge and 1/4 from the top, and the cursor will (predictably) fall to a corresponding 1/3 from the left edge and 1/4 from the top of the screen. However, given the small size of the tablet, if one is a professional designer using a large format screen, moving from X/Y on the tablet to the corresponding X/Y on screen is a MASSIVE difference in scale:br>br> In regular mode, moving two or three millimeters on the tablet sends the cursor flying two or three centimeters or more across the screen, giving the stylus little, if any, precision. br>br>This is where "Mouse Mode" comes in. . . br>br>If one is using a large scale monitor, Mouse Mode works in a similar way to a mouse: It allows the user to lift the stylus off the table (while the cursor remains stationary on screen), move the stylus over, and drop it back to the tablet surface (much like lifting a mouse off a table surface and dropping it again), keeping the cursor where it was previously left (i. e. The cursor is tracked based on the relative position of the stylus (rather than the absolute X/Y position of the tablet corresponding to the screen). br>br>THIS MODE SHOULD ALLOW A SMALL TABLET TO MOVE WITH HIGH GRAIN PRECISION ACROSS A MUCH LARGER MONITOR, BUT. . . br>br>However, two exceptional flaws—one explicitly software, and the other possibly software or hardware—render this GAOMON tablet effectively useless in Mouse Mode. br>br>Here's how I'll explain each of them: 1. br>br> According to some reviews, Mouse Mode does not work at all, and it does not for all intents and purposes. The stylus has a lot of stickiness to it: What I mean is that getting the tablet to release the cursor when lifting the stylus is extremely difficult. By way of comparison, I can lift the stylus 2 to 3 MILLIMETERS off the tablet on a WACOM tablet and the screen cursor DOES NOT STICK TO THE STYLUS: It easily releases the cursor from tracking against the stylus, much like lifting a pencil from a piece of paper, BUT. . . br>br>On the GAOMON table, however, one must lift the stylus a full 4 to 5 CENTIMETERS above the tablet's surface to make the cursor "let go" of the stylus (it's STICKY AF). In comparison, I can casually lift my finger with the delicate precision of a WACOM. tip with a flick of the wrist, raise the stylus a few millimeters and then lower the cursor. The cursor is released as soon as the stylus disengages from the tablet's surface. With the GAOMON tablet, I have to literally lift my wrist and entire forearm off my desk into the air before the tablet "releases the cursor" and allows me to place the stylus back on the tablet. br>br>This is not feasible from an ergonomic standpoint. In every way, Mouse Mode is useless. br>br>IF ONLY there was a way to change this, but alas. . . br>br>2. The GAOMON driver's preferences settings are also effectively useless, allowing the user to control almost nothing other than button controls. br>br>The driver software's preference settings are almost entirely dedicated to the functions that can be assigned to the tablet's quick key buttons. br>br>On a WACOM tablet, the driver allows the user to fine-tune the sensitivity of the stylus in every conceivable variable—WACOM is a professional-grade product designed for professional power users. br>br>Then there's the utterly infuriating cursor-movement. I mentioned earlier about the stylus' "stickiness" (yes, I'm going to keep flogging this dead horse). I'm not sure whether it's a software or hardware issue at this point. Perhaps the tablet's sensitivity to stylus stickiness could be adjusted if the driver software was more professional. . . or it could be a limitation of the sensor used in their hardware—I don't know. br>br>I tried to "give it a week or two" to see if I could come to terms with the limitations of the GAOMON tablet. I missed the 30-day return window as a result, and it was pushed to the side as I switched to an old mouse, albeit temporarily. I've moved the GAOMON tablet off my desk and it now sits on the floor, leaning against my trash can (to avoid the inevitable fate of a brand new piece of hardware ending up in the trash). br>br>I'm now on Amazon, looking for a new tablet, assuming I'll go with WACOM again, writing off the sunk cost of trying to save money by buying cheap, and remembering the old adage that you get what you pay for. br>br>Caveat emptor is a phrase that means "let the buyer beware. ".

It's a good value for the money and it lasts a long time
5/5

well-known names!   Since 2012, I've owned and used a Bamboo create, and it's still going strong. It's at least as good as, if not better than, the original. The tablet is large but not so large that it is difficult to use, there are plenty of buttons to assign shortcuts to, and it has a nice, sturdy feel to it. br>br>And don't forget about the price! It's of excellent quality and comes with a lot of extras, especially given the lower price; the nibs are also much easier to replace than bamboo products, which I appreciated. It's also very easy to set up the driver. br>br>Because of the simple interface, this tablet is ideal for beginning digital artists, but it's also ideal for anyone looking to save money while still receiving a high-quality product.

This is an excellent tablet
5/5

Beginners should pay special attention to this. It's crucial to have a comfortable and large tablet to draw with as a digital artist. It appears that you get a lot more for your money, which is a major plus. It includes a smudge guard, replacement nibs, instructions, and even a carrying bag! br>The installation was simple and did not necessitate restarting your computer. There are ten press keys that can be customized. br>As for the tablet itself, the pressure sensitivity is good, not great, but adequate for the price; however, there is no tilt function (which I didn't expect from a less expensive pen tablet). Two buttons on the pen itself can be customized as well. You can't be too far from your desktop because the connection cord isn't very long. The size is ideal, and I've had no problems with this tablet thus far. br>If you're a beginner, this tablet is a must-have. It accomplishes the task at hand, and it accomplishes it admirably. This would have been my first pen tablet if it weren't for the fact that it wasn't for the fact.

This tablet is fantastic
5/5

The pen isn't very good. UPDATE: GAOMON SENT ME A FREE NEW PEN. UPDATE: This business is fantastic! Gammon contacted me and offered to send me a new pen for free; it arrived quickly, and the person I spoke with [Tiffany] was very pleasant. I can't say enough good things about them. Original review: br>br> I've had this tablet for a few months and I've enjoyed it, but recently the nib on my pen has been slipping out while drawing; the nib was not worn down, so I replaced it with one of the extras provided, but the problem persists: (br>The tablet itself is excellent; my only gripe is with the pen. ).
