I received your drive, which appears to be in good condition. However, the instructions are so ridiculous that I believe you are making a joke on your paying customers. "Remove the rear panel cover," the instructions say. " The single diagram of the instructions, which is the entire enclosure, closed and looking exactly as it does when removed from packaging, is located above the instructions. It's a good likeness. There is no indication, however, of which part is the rear panel cover, how the rear panel cover might be removed, or how the enclosure might look with the rear panel cover removed. br>br>There is only one image. A photo of the fully assembled, unopened enclosure, which looks (repeat, looks) exactly like it does when it first comes out of the box. Which I can see with my own eyes right now. Without any indication of how to open it (once again). br>br>Let me start by saying that it was very thoughtful of you to repeat this one image, this one unhelpful image, seven times. There are seven different languages available. The same illustration of what the thing looks like when it's closed, with no indication of how to open it. There are only seven photos of the enclosed area. Thank you very much. br>br>Don't worry, I'm sure I'll be able to solve it. But I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for how well you've put together your 7 printed images of instructions, which will not assist me in any way with steps 1, 2, 3, or 4. Thank you for demonstrating how the enclosure appears when it is first removed from the package. Maybe now I'll figure out what it looks like when it's open, or how to open and close it on my own. In the end, I suppose I'll create my own mental image.

br>br>They all worked great on day one. Neither of the UGreen housings, including this one, worked with USB 3. 0 the next time I tried to use them. It worked fine when I switched to a USB 2 port, so I figured it was the cable. If you're familiar with USB 3 vs. USB 2, you're aware that a cable can be perfectly wired for 2 and still have broken wires for 3, so they're two different cables. Because I work in IT, I usually have a lot of extra cables to play with. It didn't matter how many cables were swapped. In fact, even the cables that came with the UGreen drives were tested on other devices and found to have good USB 3 links. As a result, I have to say that these drives come with adequate cables, but the housings themselves are suspect. br>br>In order to test this, I used my Linux desktop. The drives were then moved to my Linux laptop in case it was a driver issue, and the same thing happened. I then transferred the drives to a Windows 10 laptop. if there was a serious driver issue at the kernel level The Windows computer was identical to the Linux machines. USB 2 and 3 were both functional, but USB 3 was not. When it comes to the "Micro 3. 0" drive, It didn't matter if I used a micro or a Micro 3 connector with the 0" connector. I was able to use a 0 cable as long as I used a 2. It worked when I used the 0 port. If I wanted to use a 3, I'd have to use a 3. I had to use a Micro 2. 0 port on my laptop. 0 cable. With the USB connector drive, all I had to do was plug it into a 2. 0 port - Alternatively, you can use a "charge only" cable, which is technically a 2. 0 cable connected to a USB Type-C port - I really hope they don't make those anymore. br>br>I liked the housing's overall design and how easy it was to use. Regrettably, the electronics contained within are of poor quality. UGREEN IS NOT RECOMMENDED. br>br>DO NOT RECOMMEND UGREEN.

If you need a quick external hard drive enclosure that you can open easily to switch hard drives and other things, I recommend getting the previous version of this. It's difficult to even open this hard drive enclosure, let alone install any HDD or SSD inside. I've bought a few of these and they all work the same way. To even get them open to install any drives, I have to use a tool to get them opened at all. The previous version of this enclosure was excellent. br>I would only recommend this version to those who require a more robust and secure HDD enclosure. Advantages: br>br> So far, it's been great. br>Cons: It is extremely difficult to open at any time and to install any HDD/SSD.

This is the fourth of these cases I've purchased, and the fourth of a different kind. This is, without a doubt, the best one I've ever bought. br>br>Due to two foam strips running along the inside rail of the half containing the HDD, the drive stays put. In addition, the cable is of a higher standard. br>br>To put it another way, I WISH I HAD FOUND THIS ONE FIRST, because now I have a nice-looking, higher-quality external HDD, another 'OK'-looking external HDD, and two cheap, flimsy external HDDs on my desk. I guess I can tell them apart. br>br>At the very least, I can tell them apart.

To replace USB flash drives, I installed a Crucial BX500 120 GB SSD into this case. SSDs, in my opinion, last longer. I primarily use this with Windows 10, but I needed FAT32, so I formatted the drive on a Mac, which worked perfectly. There are no problems with Windows or MAC recognizing the drive. I've only used it a few times, but it hasn't lost connection yet. br>br>As an aside, I use this with Pioneer XDJ 1000 media players, which may or may not be USB 2. 0 and no problems were encountered.
