Questions & Answers

You can't get Windows 10 to recognize it on three different computers?

It must be a NVMe drive, not a Sata drive. It is not possible to use two drives at the same time.

Is it possible to use a nvme with RGB in this enclosure? I have an axpg s40g 512gb rgb 3d nand pcie gen3x4 nvme 1 with axpg s40g 512gb rgb 3d nand pcie gen3x4 nvme 1. 3 m. Is this 2 2280 going to fit?

Yes, it will happen.

Is the heat sink completely enclosed by the plastic shell, or does it have a cutout that allows air to flow across it? Is it possible that the images aren't clear?

Thank you for contacting us.br>We look forward to hearing from you. The heat dissipation silicone grease is attached to the inside of the striped part, and the hard disk is under the heat dissipation silicone grease, with the heat being conducted to the aluminum alloy sheet. It works well and has a nice appearance, with the added benefit of being able to see inside
5/5

To begin, make sure you properly secure your M by using the included riser and screw. Because the riser isn't attached, this was a little tricky. At the length of your M, you must place it under the right hole (or end) of the internal board. 2 drive will then fit snugly against the heat sink when the included pads are properly positioned. Using a Samsung Evo 980, I found it to be a very tight fit, but the drive does make good contact with the heatsink. In fact, the only drawback is that it's so tight that the way it all fits together is a little squeaky. It's not going to work. I don't think it'll come loose, but it doesn't feel as solid as I had hoped. Nonetheless, this is a lovely exterior. The main advantage is that you can look inside and see if your M. 2 is in the proper position, with no bending or slackness. Furthermore, the clean design appears to be very elegant.

It's incredible how untrustworthy they are
3/5

I've purchased a variety of USB-based devices. M2 and NVME drives are housed in c enclosures. I can't recall ever having a "go-to" person. I needed a reliable "to" model. They work some of the time, but not all of the time - I'm not sure if it's the drives themselves (many of which are bad because they failed inside the device and now require data recovery), connection issues, driver issues, or something else. Normally, I'll try to use an enclosure first, and if that doesn't work, I'll move on to the next one. I usually find one that allows me to access the data on the drive within four or five enclosures, but it's never the same one. I'm looking for a reliable source of information - I haven't been able to locate it yet. This isn't it, I'm sure.

USB can be used in low-power situations
4/5

Driven by heat. This drive's USB section is satisfactory and receives four stars. The transfer rates are adequate, and it accomplishes the task at hand. The thermals, on the other hand, have a design flaw. You may need to use thicker thermal pads than the ones provided, depending on the type of M2 drive you have. The other issue with this design is that you have to slide-lock the top in place, so the thermal pads are likely to get moved unless you keep a close eye on the installation. I had a Samsung EVO drive that was about 1mm too shallow and made no contact with the heatsink on the drive.

It has a sci-fi vibe to it
5/5

Next to my notebook, there's a fi! The new SK hynix Gold P31 2TB PCIe NVMe Gen3 M drives fit perfectly in the transparent case with anodized heatsink. 2 2280. A powered USB 3. 0 port was plugged into a low-cost Dere/Daysky V14S notebook. 0 hub. Getting a lot of writing done the speed of reading The included thermal pads are a little thin, so I removed the paper label from my SSD and gently squeezed the case to improve contact with the heatsink. It never gets too hot. It's just a tad too hot. Over the blue LED that was too bright at night, paint it black. Also, the power management feature is very useful. When I close the lid on my notebook, it goes to sleep, and the blue light on this case turns off after a few minutes. Plus, it doesn't turn on until I need to access the drive. I chose red because it's easier to find in a crowded room or work area when I have too many blue peripherals, and black would be difficult to find. br>br>*recently updated- 29 Sep* I just swapped out the red heatsink cover for a black one, which I think looks much better with my notebook.

Overall, it's great, but there might be a problem with Samsung Data Migration
4/5

This enclosure is excellent in general, with the exception that the cover has a tendency to slide apart at times. About a week or two later, I ordered a second enclosure that was nearly identical to the first, only to discover that the on-board controller chip was not the same as the first. When replacing the stock SSDs with Samsung SSDs, I decided to buy two of them to use with two different laptops. br>While Windows recognized and functioned normally with the SSDs in the enclosures, one controller chip worked with the Samsung Data Migration software while the other did not. It perplexed me at first because I assumed I had a bad SSD drive, but it turned out that the problem was with the controller chip. I discovered the issue when I swapped the SSDs in the enclosures. So long as you don't need it for Samsung Data Migration, it should be fine.

Make a clone of your Windows SSD to a larger one! The desktop computer had a 256GB SSD and the owner wanted to upgrade to a 1TB SSD
5/5

This tool was extremely helpful! To do the cloning, you'll need to buy a software license (which isn't included with the hardware). AOMEI Backupper was the tool I used. It worked perfectly! You can use Samsung's Disk Migration Software for free if you have a Samsung SSD, but the software does not recognize this hardware when it is plugged into a USB port. If you go that route, you'll need a Type C to Sata cable, as Samsung Data Migration Software will only recognize a SSD if it's connected to SATA!.

Excellent product! I had replaced my 512GB drive with a 1TB drive and placed the old one in this enclosure
5/5

It's a cinch to use. The screwdriver, USB cables, and thermal pads that came with the package were all welcome extras. The download and upload speeds appear to be satisfactory. Using the usb c to usb c cable, I transferred 25GB of data in a matter of seconds.
