Questions & Answers

I've got data on two hard drives. Will each drive be recognized as a separate drive if I insert both?

If you have a 1TB drive in slot A and a 4TB drive in slot B and you want to clone drives, it will clone your 4TB drive as a 1TB drive. However, once the new drive has been installed in your computer, you can resize it to 4TB and keep everything else that was cloned on it.

Is it possible to use this to wipe hard drive data?

As long as the docking station is connected to your computer, you can access the data. So I'd say yes, you can use this device to erase data from a hard drive.

Is it possible to transfer to the computer using only one bay?

Yes, each bay is displayed separately on the computer.

Is it compatible with a 4kn drive?

AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
5/5

WARNING: This is not a viable product; I just wanted to add that I bought another one. Great product/service. br>br>I originally posted a one-star review on Amazon. br>br> After receiving three units that appeared to be defective, I gave this product a five-star rating. See the original article for more information. In response to my post, the Seller contacted me once more to address the issue, and a fourth was sent to try. Due to my misunderstanding of their description of disconnecting the USB during cloning, I discovered that I wasn't operating the unit according to the instructions. I was under the impression that When the instructions say to disconnect the USB drive during cloning, mounting the USB drive would suffice. The cable must be physically removed from the computer, as I discovered. I can't say enough about the Seller's extraordinary efforts to stand behind their product, having sent me a total of four units while I looked for a solution. br>br>I can't say enough about the Seller's extraordinary efforts to stand behind their product, having sent me a total of four units while I looked for a solution. br>br>I can't say enough about the extraordinary efforts the Seller made to stand behind their product, having sent me a total of four units while It was well worth the effort because I now adore the unit and plan to purchase more. br>br>For your convenience, I've included the original post as well as my response to the Seller via email. br>br>[To Customer Service Representative]: br>I received the docking station, and it functions properly. br>br>However, I discovered that I had been using it incorrectly all along. The owner's manual had been misunderstood by me: "Make certain there are no USB connections," the manual stated. I was unmounting the docking station from within Windows, thinking that would eliminate any USB connections. br>br>So, once I removed the USB cable from the computer, both your replacement docking station and another docking station are now working fine, with successful cloning operations. br>br>I apologize for not being able to figure this out sooner, and I appreciate your perseverance in finding a solution. br>br>It's now a 5-star rating. star. br>br>WARNING. br>br>Original Post:br> I really wanted this item to work, but it was not a viable product. I ordered three of them, one after the other, in the hopes of finding one that worked, but they all ended up being returned. I worked closely with customer service, who tried to stand behind their product, but all they did in the end was read me the simple operating instructions. Based on my experience, they simply do not have a working product, and I believe they have been able to continue selling them because buyers do not fully test them when they arrive. The first unit would not work on USB 2. 0 ports. The next two read drives fine and cloned them, but the LEDs never indicated progress during cloning, nor did they ever indicate that the cloning process was complete, as per the instructions. Using the LEDs once more. The frustrating part was that I spent a lot of time working with customer support to try to get one that worked, and after three failed units, I tried to convince the company to have one shipped to them so that they could verify that they had a known working unit. Instead, they demanded that I make a video of myself operating the unit, which I refused to do. This was pointless because the instructions are very straightforward and straightforward. Furthermore, when I mentioned to customer service that an identical unit was available on Amazon, they requested the link, which I provided. It wasn't the same unit, they said. It is clear, however, that it is the same manufacturer, albeit with a different brand name stamped on it. Look for "Sabrent USB 3. 0" in the search box. You'll see the same unit if you enter "0. ".

(great at cloning) (inferior dock design) Good quality for the price
5/5

As a 2-person team, I use it for a variety of purposes. as a backup hdd cloner and as a bay hdd dock br>br>Prosbr> Works great for cloning hard drives and has a fast turnaround time. br> It's small and light. br> Only when that particular hard drive is in use will the blue light flicker. (I've seen reports that the blue lights don't correspond to the use of the hard drive. ) In my opinion, this is incorrect. )br> Low-costbr>br>Consbr>- The HDD's fit in the dock could be a lot better. Approximately 40% of the time I discover that the HDD has not been fully inserted. (It irritates me a lot)
- I can't turn off just one hard drive at a time; I have to turn off the entire device to swap out just one hard drive without risking damage. br>br>In conclusion, I would buy it again, or one of the two other Inateck bays for the same price, although I'm not sure which is the best (this one is the newest model, which is why I bought it, but one of the others has a metal body). This device has a great price-to-performance ratio. There are better options if you only want to use this as a dock and not for the cloning. If all you want to do is clone, USB 3 devices are the only way to go. Thunderbolt or number two.

Hard disks have been known to become unallocated, resulting in data being spread across four hard disks
3/5

I purchased four 0F23668 hard disks. With Inateck's Hard disk case FD2005, I now have a problem with 4 out of 4 hard disks, with data frequently being lost in all four hard disks. br>The issue I'm having is this. Initially, the one partition data was lost in the 3rd or 4th Hard disk, and in August, when I was using the 1st and 2nd Hard disks in FD2005, all data on the 2nd Hard disk became unallocated in the Mini Tool Partition, and I was unable to access the data, so I recovered the majority of the movies data using TestDisk. I then formatted the second hard drive. br>In September, both the first and second Hard disks became unallocated in Mini Tool Partition while I was using both in FD2005, and I couldn't access all of my data, so I used TestDisk again, but it's difficult to save the data of many movies because it takes a long time to transfer data from VHS to hard disks. br>I also discovered yesterday that I couldn't access the one partition of the fourth hard disk. I'm currently attempting to save the data from the movie. br>br>Inateck FD2002 has never done anything like that with my old two hard disks, which are 4 tb HGST hard disks. br>When I called Inateck today, the staff was completely useless and did not assist me in any way.
