The ability to transfer data between multiple drives is extremely useful
5/5

This dual docking station was purchased for data transfer rather than cloning. I work with a lot of big multimedia files and have three Mac workstations with shared drives. I've had a lot of success with this unit. I used to own a number of 4TB Porsche Design SATA drives with USB 3. 0. There were no connections and the enclosures were large, clumsy aluminum housings- Each enclosure required its own power supply and USB port; however, with this docking station, I was able to have swappable drives without the housings' additional footprint (USB, power, and desktop). Having the SD reader in the front is one of the added benefits, as it eliminates the need for a multi-card reader. a reader for cards Another way to reduce your carbon footprint. I've had no problems with mine in the past six months and I love it!.

USB3br>2 is supported. In the front, there are memory card readersbr>3. The clone button is located in the back, making it difficult for children to accidentally press it.
4. Supports 12TB drives that are labeled as two distinct drives. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
1. When the USB was plugged in, the clone function did not work. Nothing happens if you keep the clone button pressed. I have to unplug the USB every time I need to clone because of this. I'm afraid I'm going to wear out the port with this action.
2. When I replaced my 12TB drives, I had to turn off the device. It's inconvenient, but it's not a deal-breaker.
3. Even when the computer is turned off, the drives will intermittently spin up and down.

Run, not walk away (alternative recommendation in review below)

Because I'm writing this review on my phone, it'll be brief. For staying on, the dock turns on and off every 40 seconds. That means your hard drives (along with the multiple Window Add Device sounds) will turn on and off multiple times during those 40 seconds. Within a month of owning this dock, I received the "HardDrive X parameter is incorrect" error message for both of those 4TB drives, and I was unable to open them. After that, run chkdsk from a different dock (here: and regaining access to the drives; there were no folders on the drives, but the spaces were still being used. O is what I'm using to write this review. In the hopes of retrieving my data, I used O Recovery software. This is a dock you should not purchase. P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. When I plugged in a new device (SD/TF card, USB drive, or another Hard Drive), the dock would restart and go through the multiple initialization loop again. Remove yourself from the situation. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> O & O Disk Recovery is truly the best recovery software on the planet and I was able to recover 2098% of my files with there original folders and file structure ( after 2 separate% Apart from shortening the life of the drives due to the wear and tear caused by this dock's startup sequence, it undid a lot of the damage caused by this dock. Second, there's the FIDECO USB 3. 0. The above-mentioned 0 to SATA Hard Drive Docking Station is superior in every way. There is no damaging startup sequence, it has a smaller footprint, and you can insert SD/TF cards/ USB drives without having to restart the dock. Unlike this dock, which can only read one SD/TF card at a time, the FIDECO dock can read both SD and TF cards at the same time. The best part is that both docks cost the same amount of money ($38). 99) but the FIDECO has a 5% off coupon on the Amazon page at the moment. This was a difficult lesson to learn, but avoid this dock once more.

A fantastic hard drive docking station and off-line cloning system! If you want to get on-the-go, you'll need to use the docking feature

large amounts of data in the palm of your hand Standard spinning-wheels are no longer available in today's world. Disk hard drives have a relatively low cost per gigabyte, and they come with a lot of storage space. Terabytes of storage space aren't as expensive as they once were, and you can easily swap drives in and out of the hard drive docking station as needed. br>br>Whether you want to clone your hard drive to SSD or need access to bare drives on occasion, this RSHTECH dock is a dual-purpose solution. A docking station for hard drives with multiple bays that is ideal for the job. With USB 3. 0's super-fast speed, you can get more done in less time. It has a zero-interface and is ready to handle all of your needs quickly and effectively. When it comes to a dual-purpose vehicle, In my opinion, given its powerful capabilities, the bay model is reasonably priced. br>br>I also liked how this dock has a redesigned cloning technology that allows you to copy important files from one disk to another without using a computer. Simply connect the hard drives and hold down the "Copy" button for a few seconds until the LED begins to flash. This indicates that the cloning process has begun and that you can track the progress by looking at the LED which has four stages from 25% to 50%, 75%, and finally to 100%. Keep in mind that the capacity of the B drive (target) should be greater than or equal to the capacity of the A drive (source) when cloning your drive. br>br>Overall, I am pleased with this purchase, and I have yet to encounter any technical difficulties with it.

Great
4/5

The only drawback is that the drives aren't particularly safe. There is a great deal of leeway. For most people, who are seated at an office desk, this will not be an issue. Because I'm using it in an RV, I had to make some brackets to keep everything in place. Apart from that, I'm very pleased with two of them. They're daisy chained together in my case. The addition of additional USB ports is a nice touch. The device uses less power and produces less heat than other devices I've tried.
