The sub's frequency response ranges from 40Hz to 160Hz.
Is this wattage in RMS or in total peak?
A JBL 5 is one of my speakers. The Edifier system sounds slightly better than the 1,550W soundbar system. Because of its size and power, the JBL subwoofer comes out on top. Aside from that, I'm a firm believer in the Edifier system.

br>br>The subwoofer is wired with speaker and input connections. The right speaker is hardwired with 6' of VGA cable (probably not VGA, but I'm not sure), while the left speaker has a detachable 10' s-video cable. I believe it is a video. I needed to extend the distance between the speakers and the subwoofer and contacted Edifier support because I couldn't figure out the exact cable type for each speaker after reading the Amazon page, referencing the Edifier site, and reviewing the product's manual. Edifier support stated that the length of the right speaker cable could not be increased, but that the left speaker cable could be extended to 26 feet. They didn't say what kind of cable they were using in either case. br>br>The IR remote is a nice touch; it controls the speaker system and has Bluetooth control over the connected device, but some functionality varies depending on the input. br>* When not using Bluetooth, Play/Pause is essentially an on/off switch for the speaker system. The device's audio will be paused when you use Bluetooth. There is also an on/off switch. Regardless of input, volume controls affect the volume of the speaker system rather than the connected device. br>* Outside of Bluetooth mode, Previous/Next have no apparent function. br>* The remaining controls (Optical, Coax, PC, Aux, and Bluetooth) switch the input/audio source. br>br>Rather than purchasing VGA extenders and hoping they work, I think I'll return the product. This is an excellent system if you only need 6' of cable from the subwoofer to the speakers. br>br>My rating is based on Edifier's failure to provide sufficient information on this product (Amazon, Edifier). Product Manual (www. productmanual. com). If I had known that I would be unable to extend the distance of the right speaker, I would have made a different purchase.
THESE ARE THE RIGHT CHOICES FOR YOU! Because I haven't tested every other speaker system in this price range, I won't simply say "THESE ARE THE BEST. " However, in comparison to systems I've used/heard from Bose, Logitech, JBL, and others, I can tell you that these are THE BEST speakers I've ever heard at this price point. These are IMPOSSIBLE to beat! The speakers are heavy and solid, and the build quality is excellent. Not only the cabinets, but also the speakers. The ratio of the subwoofer to the top speaker is smooth and full. The top bookshelf speakers are the one feature I'd like to highlight. I'm hearing things in the highs that I've never heard before after switching from a THX Logitech system, and while Bose can deliver some punch, I don't believe they can create the highs like these speakers can. Once more. br>br> These are simply fantastic at this price! br>I'm already considering purchasing a second set for another room.
What is the woofer design? For the money, this is a fantastic sound system that sounds clear and fills the room with audio without straining. However, I've noticed that in some genres of music, where the bass can be heard alone, such as jazz, the bass can be heard alone. There is a distinct rattling coming from the tip of the subwoofer cone when listening to jazz bass or chill out mellow tunes. It doesn't appear to be a flaw or rattle on the inside, but it could be a result of the cone's strange acoustical properties. br>br>This is highlighted in the video I uploaded, and it can also be found in other types of music I've tried. I've also tried playing over optical and over 3 to see if it's related to the problem. The same rattle occurs when using aptx Bluetooth versions 5 and up.
There is no sound level meter but I'd say even at 10 you can still hear the rattle, the demo vid is playing at about 20 volume level (about.
These are some of the best bookshelf speakers I've ever seen. Originally, I planned to use these as computer speakers, but they might end up in the living room. The highs are sharp, the mids are clear, and the lows are compact. I'm not an audiophile, but I do listen to music and can tell when the sound quality is poor. So far, I haven't noticed any distortion or loss of sound in any of the music I've listened to (from metal to classical). According to all of the online reviews, these speakers are excellent for the price, and they outperform other brands such as Bose and Polk. There's no way you can go wrong with $300 for these beauties. Enjoy!.
