Connect it to the data port, not the power port, on the Raspberry Pi Zero.br>On the Raspberry Pi B, I'm not sure this will work because the only micro USB port is for power, and I don't believe the power port supports data.

As I previously stated, it worked out of the box, but then stopped working, so I returned it, thankfully within the returns parameters. Hey, maybe I just got one that was made in an unusual way, I'm not sure. Even so, the seller was polite about it. That's all I've got to say about it. br>br>Update 4 01 2019br> It's a real treat to be able to share this with you all. This product's seller pays attention to the feedback left on their products. They contacted me and asked if I would accept a brand new device on their dime, which I obviously said yes to because why not? I'm happy to report that, as of today, they have made up for the possibly defective device I received the last time; all I have to say is that any business can produce a lemon now and then, but it takes a great company to stand behind their products and go above and beyond to ensure that their customers are satisfied. I am completely satisfied; they were under no obligation to do what they did, but they did it anyway! In today's world, that is extremely impressive. Thank you again to the UGreen company; they make a great product and are willing to work with you if something goes wrong! Awesome!.
A Fire Stick 4K was recently purchased by me. I have a mesh wifi network from Asus that covers the entire house and has been reliable with all of my other devices. Despite the fact that the Stick's 5Ghz wireless signal tested at nearly 300mbps, my Youtube, Netflix, and other streaming services would frequently experience frame drops and stoppages. In order to compensate, Youtube would reduce higher-resolution streams to 720p. br>br>Even though this wired device only provides a maximum of 100mbs for my streams, all of them, including 4K HDR, are now flawless. It's very simple to connect this. Simply plug in your ethernet cable and replace the USB power cord on the Fire Stick. Done. When you turn on the Fire Stick, it detects and uses the wired connection.
Our family used to watch TV through one of the big satellite/cable TV pipes, but we're trying to simplify things and get back to a more functional way of watching TV. We started out with just the Amazon Fire TV Stick and no other devices, but we ran into some issues with hangs. This isn't a good way to watch live football. One issue with our situation is that the internet pipe does not enter our house through our main TV room. After doing some research into what might be causing the intermittent glitches, I decided to try a hard-wired Ethernet connection to the Fire TV Stick directly. (And, just to be sure, we got a Powerline network adapter so that we could have a hard connection from the internet gateway to our house to the TV. ) ) After a few days, it appears that this solution is working, possibly due to the fact that it eliminates most (if not all) of the WiFi "buffering. " So far, we haven't had any issues with the Fire TV freezing.
You can skip getting the official Amazon Ethernet adapter if you want to connect your Amazon Fire Stick to your TV (especially since the official adapter is backwards compatible). ordered until the end of the day Since Thanksgiving 2017, it's been like this since February 2018. This adapter does everything the official one does, and it comes with a MUCH, MUCH longer cord.
Yes, it will do what they claim once I remove the fire stick and make it non-portable, as well as when I purchase the RJ 45 Ethernet cable separately. It does say both if you read carefully, but the big points they stress, which allows your attention to wander, are PLUG AND PLAY and CORD, but only **NOT** EVERY CORD YOU WILL NEED. They don't even say "purchase separately" as a matter of courtesy.
In my review, I recommended a different option. This was simple to do, but I still had buffering and freezing issues. My internet connection is gigabit fiber, and my internal wired network is 1 gigabit per second. I ended up returning it, but I discovered a better, more effective solution: br>br>All 10/100 ethernet adapters for Fire sticks are available. The USB2 is a bit different. The Fire Stick's 0 port supports up to 480Mbs, but with a 10/100 adapter, there is still a bottleneck, and I've had streaming issues with HD and 4K content. br>br>In the end, I bought a 1Gbs USB3 ethernet hub and combined it with an OTG adapter. Even though it's still limited by the 480Mbs USB2, the performance of the Fire Stick 4K has vastly improved. The fire stick has a value of 0 on it. Pixelation and buffering are not present! Both of these products are of excellent quality. USB3. br>br>USB2. br>br>USB1. br>br>USB Micro USB OTG Adapter with 0 Ethernet Hub.
Despite the fact that the outside design of this small device is perfect, it did not work with my Chromecast and appears to have broken it. I had to return this and purchase a new Chromecast because it appeared to work properly at first but froze after only a few minutes of streaming videos. I was able to watch for a few more minutes after a quick reboot, but it then froze again - This time, it left a trail of wacky colored lines across the screen. I was able to restart it once more, but it then crashed to a blue screen, from which it has not yet recovered. The Chromecast warranty was voided because I used an aftermarket part, so I lost $40. The most likely cause was a voltage issue, but who knows? Simply purchase the official Chromecast version of this device for more or less the SAME PRICE! Alternatively, splurge a little and get the Chromecast Ultra, which comes with this feature pre-installed. Keep a safe distance from this creature!.
