On a 4-year-old laptop, the battery can last up to 3 hours
5/5

Installation should be done with care. The battery is exactly what it says on the tin - it is a rechargeable battery. Genuine-looking part that fits perfectly and I'm back up to 3hrs (pretty heavy use, on VPN, 25% screen brightness normally) IMPORTANT: br>br> The Dell battery cable already installed in the laptop motherboard, as well as the battery connector, are both extremely flimsy and easy to rip out or jam. on the new battery's connector. Even though it's a small space, try to find a way to keep the battery in place. While pressing in the connector, hold the side connector firmly in place to ensure proper alignment. br>br>Unplug the main laptop power while the system is running (no apps/data open, "settled" post-boot) to perform the "ultimate test" of whether or not you connected things firmly/correctly. Oh, and, as with any computer upgrade: br>br> Make sure you don't lose any screws from your laptop. Because they're small and like to bounce, you'll want to use a sturdy, well-designed container. For these tasks, you'll need a well-lit work surface. It's a simple upgrade, but it does necessitate a little more attention than a full-fledged upgrade. PC components that are the right size br>br>(I'm currently unplugged, and no longer have to worry about the old battery dying. ) )br>br>[update after two weeks of daily use]br>I'm still having no issues, and I can go unplugged for several hours at a time when I'm using it heavily. I've been unplugged for over an hour right now with a moderate workload and a music stream, and I am at 84%. I'd been on the road for a few days, with my laptop bag banging around a lot, but no new problems with the Dell battery connector. br>It was well worth the money.

I'm on the fence about it
3/5

This battery was delivered to me last night. It was charged at a rate of 7%. When the battery monitor first saw the battery, it said the maximum charge was only 53 watts, despite the fact that it was a 55 watt battery.
First battery run down from 100% to 95% (Youtube video on a loop) it ran down from 100% to 83% then ran down to 33% and immediately dropped to 5% and% The total running time is 6 hours and 14 minutes. br>Now, after an hour of rest, I started charging it up again. However, it now informs me that the battery's maximum capacity is 51 watts. 1 wh. As a result, it went from 53 to 51 in one charging cycle. br>I'll do some more testing before deciding whether or not to return this battery.
- br>Updated on December 7th- I've now cycled the battery five times in total. The maximum charge has been increased to 47. 21 wh. This means I'll have somewhere between 35 and 50 cycles in total. They claim 500 cycles, but there are far fewer than that. This battery will be returned to the owner.

So, I had already placed an order for a new laptop and planned to give my old one to my 15-year-old daughter when it arrived
5/5

I notice that my old laptop is bulging at the front a week before it's supposed to arrive. When I remove the back casing, I see that the battery has expanded and is on the verge of blowing up. I ordered a replacement battery and it arrived two days later (still before my new laptop). My daughter is ecstatic because this has given the machine new life. br>br>On the old battery, it couldn't stay on for more than 30 minutes without being plugged in. The time limit is 40 minutes. I can now work for over an hour without having to plug in. And it doesn't shut off 10 seconds later when it warns that the battery is at 15% it doesn't shut off 10 seconds later when it warns that the batter br>br>Installation was a breeze and took only a few minutes - It took longer to remove the old battery than it did to install the new one. br>br>It cost less than $50 and took less than 20 minutes to restore a working laptop that was no longer a fire hazard.

Although it works, it is not as powerful as a Dell battery
3/5

UPDATE: I replaced the battery, which was almost dead, with a Dell battery. Because it only lasted a few months, I'm giving it a two-star rating. I also had a small crack at the front edge of my laptop case because I could never get the battery to fit perfectly in my laptop; the wires would not mash down into the small spaces for them. That isn't an issue with the Dell battery because it is a perfect fit. If you can, invest in a Dell battery. If you'll only be using the laptop for three days, br>Original Review: The replacement battery will last 4 months if not used for extended periods of time. br> I purchased this battery because it was less expensive than the Dell replacement part; however, it only lasts about 4 hours and does not last as long as a Dell battery. If you're looking to save money and don't require a long-lasting battery, this option will suffice. It was difficult to install this battery. I had to unscrew those tiny screws twice and jiggle around the teeny-tiny-tiny-tiny little-tiny-tiny-tin tiny connections to get it to work, so set aside some time when replacing the battery and keep a safe place to store those small screws so you don't lose them.

The battery is not as good as my old one
3/5

This battery arrived in September, but I only just got around to installing it. I've put it through three charging/discharging cycles, and the battery saver settings only last 45 minutes. I paid $42 for this piece of garbage and am currently waiting for it to be returned. I will never purchase anything from this seller again unless they allow me to return it.

How to Maximize Battery Health

The first battery I received quickly dropped to 85% health within the first 30days Customer service at ZTHY, on the other hand, was extremely helpful in getting me a replacement. I'm very pleased with the level of customer service I've received. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative Dell recommends NOT discharge below 10% or hold charge at 100% (while plugged in continuously) in order to maximize long term battery health . Because of this, the bios battery setting should be set to "Primary AC Use" or "Custom," with a min/max range of 50-100. 80% of the cells must be worked out (see attached screenshot).

I had a battery go bad in a Dell Latitude E7470, carefully removed it (the cable can be a bit fragile), plugged this one in, and it worked fine
5/5

I've purchased a lot of laptop batteries from ZTHY and they've all fit well and charged fine; I'm sure I'll be purchasing more of these in the future.

Excellent power source
5/5

It's a good thing Amazon had this battery, because the company's price is significantly higher. Since everything is now done online, I had an overblown battery that I needed to replace as soon as possible! It was incredibly simple to set up, and the computer was up and running in no time. The battery life has significantly increased in recent years. If you need to replace your computer's battery, this is the place to go.
