My battery life had depleted, so I sat down at the breakfast table to replace it with a new one. I replaced the old batter with the new one after removing the 1000 tiny screws that held the bottom of my laptop together (this is only a *slight* exaggeration). So far, I haven't been let down. br>br>I haven't done any formal'stress tests,' but I will say that I have a gut feeling about it. My laptop now seems to last a lot longer than it used to. So far, nothing has blown up as a result of the swap, and everything is working better than before. Huzzah!.

This is the first time I've ever had to replace a laptop battery. Getting the laptop open again was the most difficult part. After you've removed all of the screws, all you have to do now is gently loosen the connection to the old battery, replace it, and screw it back in. It was actually quite simple. I just finished it last night, so I haven't had the opportunity to test the battery life or longevity, but if it lasts longer than 1. I'll be happy if I can get 5 hours without charging. ) O. They also come with the screwdriver you'll need to take out all the screws! That came as a pleasant surprise.

Because Dell OEM batteries have a chip that the computer recognizes, my laptop does not seem to recognize the new battery. I turned it off and on with the new battery, but it won't even turn on without the power plug. I ran a diagnostic and it beeped loudly, indicating that the battery had reached the end of its useful life; this was a DUD, and I've read that knockoffs, even with the Dell name, look exactly like the Dell, because they were! Refurbished and resold at a reduced price, primarily from China. I'm not sure if the sellers are aware of this. Some are great at first, but after the return window, they stop holding a charge or the charge isn't even close to what it was before. Not that this seller is to blame, but unless there's a one-year guarantee that it's a NEW battery, it's most likely been used, is unreliable, and won't last long. It's difficult to find them because Dell isn't likely to sell through discount retailers to undercut their extortionate prices.

About six months ago, I replaced the battery in my car with this one. I was able to get 2-hours of use after a few initial drain/charge cycles. 3 hours of Youtube and more than 3 hours of other tasks such as email and websurfing. Since the battery was installed, there has been only a minor drop in performance. br>br>In Windows 10, I usually use the "balanced" power setting and a low to moderate screen brightness. This computer is used on a daily basis and is usually plugged in, but it is also used on battery a few times per week.

My return window with Amazon had just closed when I installed the battery I purchased. Unfortunately, my computer refused to recognize it and would not allow me to use it. I had assumed it was my fault because I hadn't installed it before my return time had expired. br> The sellers contacted me and offered to send me a new replacement battery, which I accepted. Even though it wasn't necessary, I was grateful that they took the time and effort to replace it. I would highly recommend doing business with this company, and I will return for future battery requirements.

a couple of back screws on the outside, two on the inside, and voila - DONE: At the five-month mark, the project was declared a failure. I'm amazed at how quickly this change took place. A couple of screws on the back, two on the inside to hold the battery, and a connector, and you're done. In and out time should be no more than 10 minutes. The screwdriver that came with it was an added bonus. It was magnetic, so it held the tiny screws in place while I inserted them! I can't speak to battery life or longevity, but I can say that the battery fit perfectly and without issue. My laptop's life expectancy has been completely restored. The plastic wrapper on a battery I bought a year ago broke open when it went bad. Fortunately, I noticed the decrease in performance and removed the back of the computer to discover the faulty battery. The extra $10 spent on this replacement is well spent. Construction of higher quality and a "Like New" running time.
