It will, in fact. I have the same 14in E7470 and it fit perfectly after self-installation with no issues.

This battery system, on the other hand, is something I dislike. It seems like it's set up to fail early on. The reason I say this is because I purchased this laptop refurbished from an Amazon certified refurbisher. When I first got it, I looked at the BIOS and saw that all they did was wipe the drive, reinstall the OS, double the RAM, and replace the battery, so you'd think the battery would last at least two years; That was not the case. br>br>As a result, I'm dissatisfied with the system as a whole, not just this battery, because I believe it should last longer. Furthermore, when the battery began to fail, it began to affect power even when the device was plugged into the wall outlet. I've had laptops that were bulletproof as long as they were plugged in, even when the batteries were dead. This system, however, does not appear to be like that. Given the use case I had in mind and the additional upgrades I made myself to increase the M and max out the ram, this was a bit of a letdown. When I was setting up this new system, I wanted to make sure that the platform would last as long as possible for me. I was hoping for at least a few years so that I wouldn't have to move again. This hardware does not appear to be of business-class quality. br>br>When I'm burned by a company like Dell, I start looking for other options the next time I buy something. It makes no difference whether the commodity is a hard drive, memory, power supply, motherboard, GPU, laser printer, scanner, mouse, keyboard, or laptop. br>br>For years, I only bought HP laptops; recently, it's been Dell; next time, I might try a different brand. The next time, it's unlikely to be a Dell.
The form factor of this battery appears to be identical to that of the E7470 battery it replaced. Two miniature screw drivers, one Phillipshead and one Torx, were included in the package. The Phillips screwdriver was required to remove the laptop's back cover as well as the two small screws that held the battery in place. The battery cable did not come with it, but it was easy to remove it from the old battery and replace it with the new one. It was easy to set up. br>br>It came with a charge, but I decided to charge it overnight. I've been running the laptop on battery power for about two hours this morning and it says it still has 75% remaining remaining remaining remaining remaining remaining remaining remaining% So far, I'm pleased; this is a significant improvement over a battery that wouldn't hold enough charge to allow the laptop to fully boot.
Update: After reading my review, the seller responded quickly and offered to send us a replacement at no cost. We were pleased with the prompt and courteous customer service; the replacement battery arrived the next day, and we are currently calibrating it to see if it will last longer. I've changed our rating to 3 stars for now because of the excellent customer service, and I'm hoping to change it to 5 stars once we finish calibration and the battery holds a charge as long as it claims. Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>O I received the battery four days after placing my order. The packaging was attractive, and there were two screwdrivers included, but I only needed the Philips head for my Dell Latitude E7470. When I ran the battery test through BIOS, the battery arrived at 17% charge and 75% Battery health . Discharged to 7 then charged to 100% multiple times to Calibrate the battery per instructions included instructions included instructions included instructions included instructions included instructions The initial charge lasted just over 2 hours (the original Dell battery lasted 6 hours), and I continued the calibration process for another 4 hours. The battery charge was monitored for five days to see if it improved. I contacted Amazon on chat for customer service and am in the process of returning the battery after the battery only lasted less than 2 hours after a week. The process of uninstalling the original battery, installing the new battery, then uninstalling the poor performing battery, printing labels, dropping off the package, then having to buy another product from a different seller and go through the process all over again was inconvenient and not worth it.
Purchasing a replacement computer battery has not been a pleasant experience for me. I haven't bought one in years because they all fail within the first three months. Because these come with a guarantee and warranty, I'm giving them another chance. It's been about two weeks, and everything is still going well. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> This battery has been going strong for three months. It's a good one, and I'd purchase from them again.
The money was well spent. I was apprehensive about not only changing the battery myself, but also about purchasing one from Amazon. My laptop, which is 5 years old, had a battery life of 17 minutes when I first got it. It was such a life-changing purchase to spend 5 hours on it. I put it off for over a year because I didn't "need" a new battery, but it was so simple and inexpensive to do.
As expected, the battery performed admirably and was simple to set up. Works as expected; the only drawback is the amount of time it takes to complete a full change. This is not a manufacturer's fault because the capacity and usage dictate the total time, which was the same with the original battery when it was brand new.
I debated whether or not to use a third-party battery for my laptop, but it is getting older, so I gave it a try. The battery came with the screwdriver I needed to install it, and it took maybe 10 minutes at most. Granted, the battery is new, but it has so far exceeded my expectations for battery life, and I'd recommend it and give it 5 stars unless something goes wrong in the near future.
It took the place of a one-year-old one. It is, however, a long way from the 9-to-5. A Dell Latitude E7470 is expected to have a battery life of up to 8 hours. It was simple to replace (I have some experience with electronics), and the cost made it a worthwhile upgrade in my quest to extend the life of this laptop by two years.
