A phillips (ph.) is a small screwdriver. All that is required is a 0) screwdriver. You'll also have to keep track of the screw caps that conceal the screws on the laptop's bottom - Simply pry them out with a small pointed tool (slot screwdriver, pointed nail file, etc.). It should be noted that the new battery does not include screws, and that the factory battery should include keepers (small plastic rings) to prevent the screws from falling out of the battery. It's simple to remove these and replace them with the new battery; just make sure you don't lose them.
I returned my BatteryMon battery because it did not come with mounting screws. If the details say 500 cycles, that's what you should expect, but one reviewer claims the battery only lasted 8 months, so there's no way to know for sure. There aren't any instructions for charging or discharging; The only thing you get is a battery.
Yes. It is compatible with the HP Elitebook 840 G3 laptop. However, the screws are missing from our battery. You must use the screws that came with the kit. It took some time to replace the battery, but it wasn't difficult; it had nothing to do with the battery and everything to do with the laptop's design. Because the laptop is so thin, replacing the battery requires a screwdriver instead of just a few clicks. br>Remove the cover, a handful of very small batteries, pop the connector, and replace the battery in the opposite position. Charge it up and the laptop will last a long time without needing to be plugged in. br>Replacing it is well worth the money and time, and it is not difficult.
The proprietary screws required to secure the battery to the laptop chassis are not included with the BatteryMon CS03XL battery. Amazon is on the phone with me. com in regards to this issue was ineffective. Their advice is to go to a hardware store to get the part, but when did hardware stores start carrying the screws needed to put a laptop together? That is something I have never seen in the United States. I bought a used laptop that didn't come with a battery, and now I have one but no way of attaching it to the laptop. Maybe a roll of duct tape?.
The HP Elitebook 745 G3 is the laptop that I'm using. On a full charge, the OEM battery lasts longer than the original. I'm lucky if I get 90 minutes out of it with the OEM. br>br>Based on the limited information provided, I followed the steps to discharge and charge. There have been no changes in performance. I'm going to return the battery. br>br>.
The item arrived in good condition, but the battery was missing both screws. Fortunately, I was able to remove the screws from the defective battery and replace them with the new one. It appears as if she is in command. Make sure to read all of the product details, as one of the seller's diagrams states that screws are not included.
My only complaint is that the battery only lasts about an hour, which is less than half as long as the original. Aside from that, I'm satisfied. The price is reasonable, and installation is simple as long as you remember the 11 screws HP installed on the bottom.
I did make sure to fully charge it before fully discharging it, as per the instructions.
An Elitebook 840 G3 14" laptop was used to test it. The battery performed admirably for the first six months, but then quickly degraded, and the laptop now requires constant charging. When I unplug the charger, the laptop shuts down right away. If the seller sent a replacement battery, I would give it 5 stars.
On various Linux distributions, I'm getting about 5 hours of use, and I haven't tried to optimize anything. For a 5-year-old, this is quite impressive. laptop technology that's been around for a few years and has a new battery!.
