With the included Cyberlink software, it is not possible to burn 4K UHD videos to the LG drive!!! It happens even after spending more than $200 on upgrades to the Cyberlink software because when you try to use its features, it pops up with error messages According to the FAQs, burning to 4K UHD will only be supported by upgrading Upon tracking down Cyberlink, it was discovered that burning to 4K UHD was not supported at all as they did not have licenses from the blu-ray company This group is called Ray. We purchased the drive to watch our UHD movies on the big screen I tried everything to do this ray, and now I'm unable to!.

After trying several other $5/$29 external USB DVD/CD players that worked less than 50% of the time, it was nice that this one worked every time (DVD/CDs, no BDs tested) on both my laptops (Asus and Dell). It is owned by HP (Acer). Additionally, it is quite quiet to operate. The USB 2 ports are located on the bottom of the unit. Power is not available from any additional ports. Comes with instructions on how to use it. Item 210928 of WGB.
