Should you mention that the write speeds are 30 megabits per second? That information can be found on pny's website. This is slower than the Lexar S45 Jumpdrive. ?

The following factors have an impact on top-end speeds. br>File size: Writing/reading a single large file takes less time than writing/reading a series of small files with the same total size.br>Host device disk speed: If you're transferring files from a host device with a sequential disk speed of less than 200MB/s, the flash drive's read/write speed will be limited. USB bus speed: br>USB data transfer rate: br>USB data transfer rate: br If your USB port isn't at least USB 3.0, you'll need to upgrade your computer. If you set the speed to 0, you will never get more than 60MB/s because that is the maximum speed it is capable of, and if you set the speed to 1, you will get even less. On USB 1, the transfer rate is 5 megabytes per second. (Note that the actual speed is frequently lower than the rated speed)br>CPU Throughput: Even if your device is not restricted by the aforementioned factors, a slow CPU can result in data loss. rates are set to plummet There are many other external factors that could affect this, but these are the most likely. I hope you found this information useful.

Are there any extra attachments included with this? Do you want something to put on your keychain to go with it?

The slot, on the other hand, is large enough to accommodate almost any attachment. I use a thin lanyard about the thickness of a shoelace; They're in the neighborhood of fifty dollars. A large keyring may not be able to swivel in the slot, which is a problem. Avery 11028 Key Tag is a good example of thin keying. However, due to dust, dirt, and static electricity issues, I don't think it's a good idea to put it on your keyring.

Is it possible to use this device to listen to music in any vehicle?

My 2015 Chevy was not happy with the 64 GB version. More than 50% of the time, the vehicle failed to see the device. A different USB drive works perfectly.

LOST EVERYTHING, which is a very sad situation
3/5

So, I placed an order for this a few months ago. On my Mac, it seemed to work fine. It has only been used to store short family video clips. It wasn't the fastest, but it sufficed for my needs. br>br>ON THE OTHER HAND, I plugged it in today and it's set to "toast. " It's changed its name to some strange symbol, and all of my files have vanished. I spent a lot of time researching these options and this one appeared to be the best. br>br>The main point is that after only a few months, all of my files have vanished. Of course, because my big external hard drive hadn't arrived yet, I hadn't backed it up yet. br>br>Do you have any suggestions as to whether or not this item can be repaired or recovered? To make matters worse, the return period has expired, but more importantly, I'd like my data back! I haven't contacted PNY yet, but I will when I have the opportunity; I'm just hoping that someone on here has some experience to share, or that PNY reads these product reviews and can shed some light. The loss has left me extremely dissatisfied and saddened.

This product should be avoided at all costs
3/5

When you receive it, thoroughly test it to look for flaws. It's faulty, and I wouldn't recommend it as a brand to use. Upon receipt, many of their products must be thoroughly tested. (Fill it to capacity with large files, or duplicate a large file) I purchased this in June of last year, but it wasn't until now, almost a year later, that I realized there was a problem. It will simply disconnect while copying files once you have more than a few Gigabytes stored. Reformatting is also not an option. So now I've spent a lot of money, plus shipping outside of the United States, on a useless piece of junk. Which means it can only store a small portion of its capacity.

PNY Elite X-Drive is a pretty good drive
5/5

A 128 GB USB 3. 0 flash drive is included. 0 Flash Drivebr>br>According to the manufacturer, the PNY device can read at a rate of 200MB/s. Because I'll be using it as a very portable offsite backup, I'm most interested in the write speed, which isn't mentioned in any of the Amazon specs. Only if something catastrophic happens to my computer will I read it. br>br>When comparing the PNY to my favorite Corsair Voyager Vega 128 GB, the PNY receives a backup of 28 files, whereas the Corsair receives a backup of 84. 4 Gigabytes (90,660,076,242 bytes) of already-existing data In 43 minutes, the Corsair collects encrypted data, whereas it takes 28 minutes for the Corsair to collect the same data. The same computer, the same data, the same USB III port, and very little other computer activity. That works out to around 35 MB/s for the PNY and 54 MB/s for the Corsair. An interesting point to consider: Even though both exceed the USB II theoretical maximum of 60 MB/sec when running in USB III, neither quite exceeds the USB II rate. br>br>I'm going to copy the 84. It took about 9 minutes to transfer 4 GB of files from the PNY to an extremely fast internal SSD drive, resulting in an actual transfer speed of 168 MB/s, which is close to the advertised 200 MB/s. The Corsair completed the same task in the same amount of time, using XCOPY for all of the copying. Who knows, who knows? Perhaps RoboCopy is quicker, but I've never noticed a significant difference. br>br>While transferring data, both drives become slightly warm, but not hot. When they're not in use, neither of them gets hot. br>br>The benefits of PNY include: The price is lower, and the dust cover is very cool. br>Advantages of Corsair: 50% faster write speed than before, sweet little drive activity light, slimmer design.

If you prefer the write speed of a floppy drive, this is the USB flash drive for you
3/5

I did some testing with AS- SSD 2. CrystalMark 6, with a score of 73. 2 with NTFS and exFat in Windows 10 on a USB 3 Gen 2 (10gbps) port, with comparable performance. br>br>Sequential large file performancebr>The device does hit the claimed 200 mB/s read speed (actually 230 mB/s in my case), but has a terribly slow 15 mB/sbr>br>Random small file performancebr>The device has a very low 12 mB/s read speed and a horrible slow 3KB/s write speed that is very hard to measure. Yes, I do mean "K" rather than "M," because it is that slow. Floppy- With the random access smaller block size tests, you can see how well your disk performs.
AS- Even the write tests on SSD are impossible to complete. br>br>Please see the test screenshots attached. A screenshot of a test on a USB 2 was also included. 0 port. br>br>I'm not sure who would want to use this flash drive.

It gave a terrible performance, as if it were already dying
3/5

I purchased two 64GB versions of these for the small size, as I already own a larger 64GB USB 3. 0 drive. I had a 0 SanDisk pen drive that I used to boot Linux from my MacBook Air, but I needed something smaller. and there's only one thing I have to say: This drive's performance is extremely poor; reads and writes appear to be inconsistent. A PNY usb 2 that's been around for a long time. This is significantly better than a 2GB pendrive. 13fe is the device id for this device: If that information is useful, it is 6300, which is detected as Kingston. SanDisk Ultra CZ48 64GB USB 3. 0 SanDisk Ultra CZ48 64GB USB 3. 0 SanDisk Ultra CZ48 The 0 Flash Drive (rated slower) with Linux that this new drive was supposed to replace performs admirably, booting in seconds and opening applications as quickly as an SSD hard drive, whereas this mini pny (kingston) drive takes more than a minute to boot into desktop and minutes to open applications, performing worse than a mechanical hard drive. Because I might return it, I haven't opened the second one yet.

As a gimmick, it works really well
3/5

Let's face it, if you want to be successful, you have to be willing to take risks. The form factor is incredible for such a large amount of storage. It fits snugly and doesn't protrude much. It's also not difficult to get warm. Even the most technically challenged among us should be able to see that delivering on the promises on the box will be difficult given the form factor (I cannot emphasize how small this device is). As a result, copying a few small files over works perfectly and quickly. When a file is 500 megabytes or larger, write speeds plummet to abysmal levels ( 5kb/s). On Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18. 04, the behavior is the same. It doesn't matter if you format to a different file system. In short, it's great as a gimmick, and I'm looking forward to using it for business purposes. - Not likely. I returned mine in favor of the slightly larger Samsungs, which are both fast and dependable.

Give Me More, I'm Having Trouble Finding It
5/5

In my car, I listen to music, and if you can find them, these small flash drives are the best. One has Country music on it, while the others have Rock, Greatest Hits, Oldies, Christmas, and so on. I have around 5,000 songs on one of them, and it's only half full. I don't want to be tethered to my car by music on my phone. I'm on the lookout for more of these to use for other projects.
