When you plug it into your computer's USB port, it appears as a storage drive (usually under "This PC"). That, I assume, is your question.
It's possible that the file structure is to blame. I bought one for my 2021 Subaru, and it couldn't see anything (exFAT), but when I plugged it into my 2016 Cruze (FAT32), it immediately started playing music.
The USB connector on an Android phone is smaller than a standard USB connector. An Android phone will not be able to use this.

This was purchased solely to be used with the Playstation Classic. Only exFAT is compatible with the 64 GB size. Installing BleemSync is the most effective way to make your PSC support exFAT. AutoBleem is insufficient on its own (unless you opt for the 32GB FAT32 size). After you've installed BleemSync, you can use AutoBleem with the 64GB size.

So far, everything has gone well. After that, I attempted to copy a few files over. The disk automatically ejected from my desktop, and I received an error message stating that I should eject before removing the drive, despite the fact that I hadn't touched the flash drive and it was still plugged into the port. br>br>I tried re-plugging the flash drive, but it was still plugged into the port. br>br> I tried plugging the usb flash drive into various ports on my computer, as well as my laptop and other devices. Nothing. My systems do not recognize the flash drive, and I am unable to run disk repair because nothing is registering. br>br>I was disappointed to receive this defective flash drive, but in the end, I'm glad it failed now rather than months later; This flash drive was intended to serve as a backup image mount for my roms. Skip this item at your own peril.
I've had no problems with SanDisks in the past. This item doesn't seem to be genuine to me. This is outperformed by my 8-year-old 1 and 2 Gig flash drives. Write speed reaches a maximum of 5MB/sec. Even for USB2, that's not good. If it was possible, I'd return it.
True, the listing didn't show a USB jack cover, but the version before this did, so I could use it if I had to carry it in my purse. br>br>On the back of the package, it says 1 GB (on the front, it says 32 GB). The 32GB capacity is, thankfully, accurate.

I have a Mazda 3 and no longer have to be concerned about something hitting a tall USB port and damaging the radio's internals. br>br>I was concerned because my USB was in the consul's office. br>br>Just don't format it, like I did, because it won't work. To get my car radio to recognize it again, I had to reformat it in FAT32 format.

I needed a good USB drive that I could leave plugged into my car stereo for music storage, so I looked for the smallest form factor I could find. San Disk has always made good USB drives, but I was especially impressed with this one because of its small size; in my car, it's barely noticeable, and on my laptop, it's the same. Because it has such a low profile, I don't have to take it out of the laptop when I put it in my bag or briefcase at the end of the day. br>br>The only criticism I have for this drive is that it is so small that it is easy to misplace. Because the drive comes without a case or lanyard, it's best suited for a semi-professional use. permanent installation in your car, laptop, or other device that does not require constant plugging and unplugging. br>br>I was blown away by this tiny tiny drive, and I will continue to support San Disk with products like this.
