Is there a way to find out if the televisions are working? Does the x72xt series support 64 GB of memory (32 GB x 2)?

The TVS- A maximum of 32GB is stated in the documentation for the x72xt. Perhaps the other user got it to work anyway, or perhaps they misread it? I can only confirm that it is 32 GB.

Is this capable of supporting raid 10 with four ssds (I had four Samsung 1TB EVOs on hand)?

This is an excellent unit
4/5

However, there are a few things to keep in mind. This is the first time I've used a network attached storage device (NAS). Following the quick guide made it relatively simple to set up, but I did run into a few setup issues. Here are a few things to keep in mind if you decide to purchase this unit so you don't make the same mistakes I did: Hardware Recommendations: br>br> br>1) If you buy the x72XT, make sure you have a right angle screwdriver as well. If you'd like to include M. in your list, please do so. You'll need to remove that thunderbolt card from the x72XT after installing two cards. The thunderbolt card and the bracket above it are separated by about an inch. br>2) In addition, if you're going to use M. 2 cards, make sure you're prepared to remove any manufacturer-applied labels from the chips. It's difficult to buy a new NAS and two new M. 2's and hard drives, and the first thing you should do is cut a blade through the top of your M before proceeding. 2 card. br>3) On the M, as well. If you want to use it as a read/write cache, make sure you have two cards. If you dump a lot of files onto the NAS, the M. Even with their heatsinks on the controller, two heat warnings will appear. My advice is to use them as a read cache until you've fully populated the NAS with whatever you're backing up, then switch them to read/write after that, assuming you want read/write. br>br>Warnings in the Setup: br>4) There is a guided setup that is more or less intuitive and takes some time to set up before prompting you to log in. It fills in the usename with the name it assigned to the NAS (for example, NAS8384). This should be changed to admin. That was something I was not aware of. I just kept typing in the password I gave it and getting the message that it was invalid. It was necessary to restart the unit after it had been reset. br>5) If you're installing the Plex app, make sure you're doing so from a computer that isn't connected to the internet. connection via thunderbolt The x72XT provides you with two IP addresses: one for thunderbolt and the other for network. If you try to set up Plex while connected to a thunderbolt port, it will fail. It is unable to locate that server. For me, too, it was a reset: (br>br>Otherbr>6) You might notice that all of your appstore icons have vanished. This is a paid advertisement. It's not a QNAP issue; it's a blocker issue. Clearing the cache in Firefox and Edge solved the problem for me. I'm still unable to return them to chrome. br>7) As QNAP will remind you, if you want to use their Q-series of products, you must use their Q-series of products. If you use the cloud to access your NAS from a different location, keep in mind that all data is routed through their servers. It's worth considering. br>8) Tech support offers email assistance and can even perform a live diagnosis, but none of this is done in a timely manner. The qnap forum, in my experience, is the most likely place to receive prompt responses. After all, if you're trying to set up a $1500 NAS with $1600 in hard drives and $400 in memory, it's not going to be easy. Waiting X number of business days isn't going to be your first choice, especially if you're a 2 or something. br>br>After four days, I've got it mostly loaded and set up. Had I known the above, it would have only taken one day. Aside from that, it appears to be a good unit, albeit a little noisy when a lot of hard drives are being accessed.

What happened to the warranty? A $1000 item with a 1-year warranty rather than the 5-year warranty
3/5

I'd like to add a one-year extension for $139 and a three-year extension for $579. br>Are you serious? br>Now is a difficult time to make a decision. Keep it or replace it with something else.

THIS SERVER IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
5/5

This server comes highly recommended for 4K video editing on two Macbook Pros. I'm getting around 700 mps at the moment. Before even trying to install the NVMe drives, which are supposed to really speed up transmission speed, I ran a 1000mbps speed test with eight 7200rpm drives installed. br>br>I've noticed that the 10Gbe connection is significantly faster than the thunderbolt connection, which is a bit strange. The thunderbolt 3 connection should be faster, so I'm not sure if I have it configured correctly. The 10Gbe connection option, which replaces the thunderbolt 3 connections with two 10Gbe connections, may be of interest to buyers. I prefer the 10gbe because I can use my computer up to 50 feet away from the server, whereas Thunderbolt 3's maximum distance is only 3 meters, which isn't much for two people editing close together. So, instead of firewire, I'd recommend getting the same server with the 10gbe thunderbolt adapter; it's $150 more per connection, but considering that a thunderbolt cable certified for use on this machine costs around $80, it's not that much more per connection, and you get much faster speeds. On the Thunderbolt 3, I get around 700mbs on average, whereas on the Thunderbolt 2, I get over 1000mbs on average. br>br>FOR SMALL VIDEO WORK GROUPS THAT NEED TO WORK ON THE SAME PROJECT AT THE SAME TIME, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEVICE. THE FASTEST OPTION OUT THERE IS THE LOWEST COST INVESTMENT. It's even faster for only two machines than the "video" server with four additional SSD slots, which costs over $1000 more! AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY. SMALL VIDEO EDITING WORK GROUPS HAVE NO OTHER OPTION!.

QNAP TVS- 472 You get a good product right out of the box with this NAS
3/5

However, because the memory is insufficient, you will need to upgrade to a higher capacity in order to support this beast. This machine's design does not allow for 4GB, so 2X2 in both slots is the only option. They should have used a single shot for the 4GB and allowed the user to upgrade in the other slot. If you upgrade or have a different NAS to use it on, 2GB is useless. Aside from that, it's a good device and an excellent upgrade. br>br>May – 19 — After a few more months of use, I'll add more information. On occasion, my NAS will completely freeze and refuse to respond when accessed via the web interface or via mobile device apps. To get out of this bind, the NAS must be turned off from within the NAS. This was never an issue with my previous QNAP NAS, which I upgraded.

Although this is a fantastic product, it does have some drawbacks
4/5

This QNAP TVS-I really like it. 872XT. Thunderbolt 3 is just one of the many features and capabilities. However, I've come across some drawbacks. 1) Can't add another Thunderbolt 3 pcie card due to hardware unavailability, and the software doesn't support an additional card. 2) Can't add a Graphics GPU card without removing the Thunderbolt 3 card, as confirmed by QNAP tech support. 3) The system only comes with 16GB memory, and you must remove and replace the memory modules to expand to the maximum 32GB. Even with these limitations, I believe this is a great product. br>UPDATE after 1 month: Using V-RAM, I was able to upgrade to 32GB of memory. TN416G26D819K- Color 32GB It's important to note that if you use a third-party memory, it must be NON-PROTECTED. ECC, as well as the other parameters, must all be identical. I was able to add the QNAP Dual-Band Wireless Access Point to my network successfully. QWA-Band Wireless PCIe Expansion Card (QWA-Band Wireless PCIe Expansion Card) is a wireless expansion AC2600). I can now connect to the NAS via Wifi directly, and internet access is handled by the QNAP. I purchased a two-bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. I purchased a one-year SSL certificate from QNAP for $45, and I can now connect to my NAS via the internet. It's important to note that you'll need to download the QNAP apps for both iOS and Android. As I continue to work with it, I'm growing to like it even more. br>br>March 2020 Update: I'm having trouble getting Thunderbolt 3 to work with my Windows 10 computer. I've called QNAP support several times but have yet to receive a response.
