What are the chances of me installing ?

There is only one operating system available on Buffalo TeraStations. TeraStation does not have the ability to add applications. In addition, most NAS devices are not capable of transcoding HD video due to their processors.

What is the best way to obtain a replacement rail kit for my rackmount? The rails that were left behind were part of our data center, and we moved it I want to buy just the rails. Where can I find them?

If you need that directly from the manufacturer, you will probably have to contact them. Using the serial number of the device may allow you to order from their website.

It is laughable that business customers have to deal with support

As an additional storage solution for our production server, we use this. Neither enclosure has been working since yesterday and the other Buffalo Terastation failed on a single drive. In a 24-hour time frame, Buffalo told us they would reply to our inquiry Ideally you want this for 48 hours. If you are using this for business, ensure that it is non-commercial The system is not a critical one since if it fails, there is no immediate need to get you back on line.

As if you ran out of space right when you needed it

With this NAS, there are 4 filling bays and 4 carrying bays with trays ready to be filled as well. You can set up the system in a few minutes, and it can serve as your online storage solution and is easy to link to others to create an automated large storage facility. The Trend Micro NAS AV product is included. You will need to purchase a license separately (BHPhoto) in order for it to function properly. You can store all your movies, and much more, on this device. It is fast, has a 2 GB Ethernet port and a 10 GB versatile port. It is highly recommended for movie fans.

We could have emphasized that 24TB represents 16TB of actual storage before the raid. There would have been no issue with adding 1TB to the size. It took a long time to transfer data between USB drives and the internal storage.

I bought this product after reading all the reviews and was wary of it

It delivered on all aspects and was well worth the money. However, it can be a little tricky to set up security in a business environment (setting up access control). I have had this product for about a month now and everything seems to be working well (receiving system status reports is Product updates can be performed either via the unit interface or by downloading from the product's website. Additions such as the 10Gb network connection make this a valuable product.

I was able to setup and install, configure raid arrays, and create files with this system

Even though it took some time to configure the drives and the raid array, it was not unexpected given the size of the volumes that are created and the subsequent raid volumes that are created. Overall, I am happy with this NAS system, even though I've only had it for a short time. Hopefully, anything has changed after the system has been in operation for 6 to 8 months so I will add a review. You should note There are now 32tb of internal drives, as well as over 20tb in the raid array, which is an increase of four more drives to the standard 16tb drive configuration. It leaves us with a little more than 10 TB to work with.
