Questions & Answers
My calves are enormous, measuring 18 inches in circumference. 19 in. Even when I wear them over sweatpants or thick jeans, they are ridiculously sloppy. So you should be fine; I went up a size (from a size 10 to an 11) to ensure that the width was correct. Size 10 would have been fine for me, but they are a little tight around my instep. Of course, I haven't worn them since I got them, but I'm confident they'll still be comfortable if I wear them with a couple of pairs of socks.
I am a 6. The 7 fits perfectly because I am a size 5 with a high instep.
They appeared to have a wide width (which is why I bought them) and a wide calf, but the top was adjustable. Actually, I sent them back along with a replacement pair because the shanks on both of them had a welt the size of my pinky finger.
I tried on a 9 and found it difficult to get my feet into it. If it's too tight, go up a size. I'm thinking of going with a ten.

You've come to the right place! These boots are absolutely fantastic! I have wide calves (18 1/2"), so finding boots that fit without being too tight at the top and leave enough room for pants has been nearly impossible (to the point where I've given up looking for anything taller than ankle boots). I needed some nice water-resistant mucking boots that would allow me to do outside work and care for animals without ruining my nice shoes, and that weren't too difficult to put on quickly (I despise anything with laces or that requires me to frantically shimmy my feet into). I was afraid they'd be sloppy big or wide at the ankle, making them look over-sized all over when all I needed was a little more room at the top - There's a pleated area at the top of the boot with an adjustable band that allows you to fine-tune the fit to perfection. These are also super easy to put on and take off! I can quickly put them on in the morning to go tend to the chickens, and then take them off without making a mess or touching them with my hands. Seriously, these boots are adorable and have come in handy. If you've given up on finding cute mucking/rain boots that fit your calves, do yourself a favor and get these instead - You will be overjoyed that you did!.
These boots have let me down miserably. For about a month, they were great, but then they began to split on the sides. There were gaping holes on both sides of both boots less than two months after they were purchased. On the sides, I had to duct tape them back together (tape removed for photographing). I'm not sure what caused this, and it happened on both boots.
After further investigation, it appears that I received a slightly used pair that had been cleaned with a solvent. That solvent changed the color of the area where it was used. Unfortunately, I require them for tomorrow and do not have the time to return them and obtain another. However, for the price, I had hoped for more. I'll reach out to Amazon to see what they can do. This is a shady business. Don't make a purchase with them! The fit is excellent. br>br> It's to be expected that the calf is extra wide. This is why I gave them two stars, but I'm still disappointed overall.
When they say "Wide," they really mean it. These boots are fantastic. When they say "Wide," they really mean it! I normally wear a 7 1/2 in shoes, but I went with a 7. I could have gotten away with a size 6 if I had wanted to. The only reason I gave them three stars is that the pair they sent me had clearly been used. Scratches, scuffs, and rubber wear off in a variety of places. I'm keeping them because the time and effort it would take to send them back would be better spent waiting for another pair for the same price. I use Amazon on a daily basis, but they have recently fallen behind. Guys, you have to step it up!!.
My height is 5'3" and my weight is 18 pounds. 5 lb. calves In addition, I'm a size 7 myself. 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm Wide feet, but not xw With leggings on, these boots were just a smidgeon too big. The footbed was a perfect fit on its own. I believe these boots would have been perfect if I had longer legs. br>However, I am returning them because I was sent a pair of boots that had clearly been worn, returned, and reticketed. Because I wanted to keep things simple, I decided to try to negotiate a discount on the "used" product, keep them, and avoid the hassle of returning them and waiting for a replacement pair to arrive.
The best a customer service person could provid was a mere 2010%. Thank you, but no thanks. Quality control at Amazon needs to be improved.
It's of good quality and doesn't smell like a ton of plastic. Overall, I like how the back expansion works to expand and tighten, but the catch is a little finicky, and I would have preferred a traditional clasp like those found on backpacks or other items with a squeeze buckle. The main disadvantage is that the fit is still a little long on me, coming up to my knees. Nonetheless, it comfortably hugs my foot and does not obstruct circulation or cause it to flounder, so I decided to keep it. br>br>I'll admit that tall boots are a challenge for me. I'm about average height and weight, with athletic calf proportions (not sticks or disproportionately large), and I'm very short. Because I am short, tall boots hit me in the widest part of the calf rather than the thinner part as they do for people with longer legs, so I always need a wide size to compensate.
I've been looking for the perfect rain boots for months, hoping to get them before the rainy season arrives. Because I walk and use public transportation to get to college. After reading several reviews about how fantastic these were, I decided to give them a try. I had high hopes for a spectacular result. Unfortunately, this was not the case in this instance. Despite the fact that they are good boots with no leakage issues and a calf width that is sufficient. They're not designed for people with wide feet or who walk for long periods of time. It does not have adequate arch support for serious rain walking. And I'm a little let down. I'm still going to keep them for very short periods of time (in the car and in and out of the store quickly). Aside from that, I'll have to go back and look.
Because of my large calves, I've never owned a pair of rain boots, even though I'm 52 years old. Finally, a boot that fits well without being too bulky, with a comfortable footbed. I was anticipating a stiff, minimal liner that would necessitate the use of an insert, but this will not be necessary. I also expected the shaft to be stiff and flex into my ankle with each step, but this is not the case, and the boot is comfortable to walk in, with softer rubber that stands up but does not jab into you. br>br>For slick, unstable surfaces, the bottom tread is grippy. I'll wear these when it's wet and muddy outside, and I'll get rid of my lace-up boots. I gave up my winter boots in exchange for these, which I can wear in the snow with thick socks. Snow used to sneak into my snow boots (lower, with laces to accommodate my calves), but that won't be a problem with these. I'm looking forward to the rain!.
