Well, I'm a size 8 in the US and it said I needed to order a men's size 6 when I ordered mine. It didn't say anything about UK sizes. I'm sorry, I wish I could help.
I ordered a half-size smaller because I'm a size 7 myself. I'd consider the type of socks you're wearing.
Yes, or leather, which is extremely comfortable.
I'm a size eight. I went from a size 5 to an 8 and they are perfect, and I have some room.

100! Great sense of fashion. I get a tomboyish vibe from it. metal- I like the thick soles and the gothic vibe. These were worn to an outdoor concert where I had to walk over a lot of rocks. The boots sprung back to life and kept me balanced. My shoe size is 9 1/2, but I usually order a size 10 to accommodate my larger feet. The size 10 is a little on the big side. I cushioned them even more by adding insoles. If you lace them all the way up, wear some pants or socks underneath because the leather is thick and uncomfortable. It'll take a while to get used to these. I'm going to wear these boots until they fall apart, which will be a long time due to their excellent quality.
The money spent on these shoes was well spent. During my 12-day trip, I wore them every day. They have a good platform but are still extremely comfortable (I walked 20,000 steps per day). There was also no rain or puddles to contend with. If you're a half size, or even a whole size smaller than me, I'd recommend going down a size. I chose 5 and placed an order for 9. They're still a little roomy, but they're comfortable. On a cold day, I was able to wear two pairs of thick socks without them being too tight.
I like these boots a lot. br>This is my third pair of Docs from Amazon this month, and the only pair I've kept. To begin, I must state that this was the only pair that came in the original Dr. Martens boot box, which is a huge plus in my book. I don't expect a lot of break-in time with these boots because they're almost perfect right out of the box. Though, because my tongue is a little stiff, I'll have to soften it over time. The footbed is very comfortable and has a lot of bounce to it. The platform sole on these shoes is incredible. It provides a significant lift without being too high in the heel. I also prefer these to the Jadon's because they are more flexible and don't make you look like Frankenstein when you walk around in them. br>The toe box is a little less wide across the bridge of the foot than the standard Docs shoebox, giving it a more feminine shape. This is a benefit for those of us with woman's size US 11 feet, but a disadvantage for those with wider feet. These boots are true to size, with a little extra wiggle room in the toes that doesn't cause extra slide in the heel, even though I lace them up tight. br>The boot laces that came with the boots are an embarrassment. They're more like dental floss and are very light, so make sure you have new laces on hand ahead of time. I used golden yellow paracord because it goes well with the stitching and stands out on these lovely boots. Plus, boot laces made of paracord are the best.
I love them and wear them to work every day. I honestly don't think I'll ever wear another pair of shoes after these. br>br>Ok, I know it's a little early for a 5-star review, but I just got these and I can't help but be pleased! My purchase's most serious flaw was its sizing. I was unsure which size to order because some reviews said it was too big, while others said it was too small. So let me set the record straight for you. My feet are a size 9 (US Womens), but they are also quite wide, so I usually have to size up for a comfortable fit. For these, I didn't require it. This is my first pair of Doc Martens, along with another pair that I'll review separately, and I'm glad I bought them. br>br>After I've worn them for a while, I'll update this post.
DO IT. THEY ARE VALUE FOR MONEY. Dr. Martens have always been a dream of mine, but I've always been afraid to spend so much money on a shoe that I know runs a little big. It might be difficult to gain access. I usually wear an 8 1/2, so I ordered an 8 and they're perfect! SO comfortable (despite my expectations of a break-in period). They haven't left any blisters on me during my period. I would buy them again in a heartbeat because of the excellent quality! I chose dark brown, which is a stunning color. Plus, this high-heeled shoe is ridiculously cool. I absolutely adore you.
I have extremely thick calves, making boots difficult to come by, and I'm still recovering from a knee injury. Oh my goodness, these boots are the most amazing thing I've ever seen! There's ankle and arch support, which is fantastic for my feet and knees, and they'll lace all the way up! It's true that they're the short boots, but hey, a win is a win. br>Having previously owned a pair (well, two, since I wore them to death) of Doc Martens shoes, I knew they would be heavy - and they were. It's part of what makes them so appealing, and it's one of the reasons I adore them. They're no heavier than a pair of Skechers platform shoes that I wear all the time, and the sizes are comparable to Converse in that they run a little big, but the Doc Martens website has a sizing chart that you can use to compare your foot length to the length of the insole of their footwear. I, on the other hand, am a size 7. I wear a 7 in Docs and Converse (US women) and an 8 in other brands. The arches are exactly where they should be. br>The platform is tall enough that the first time I stood up, it felt like I was standing on roller skates, but I've grown accustomed to my newfound height. I've been wearing them every day for four days now, and they're quickly breaking in. I did slightly warm them up and coat them in liquid mink oil right out of the box to waterproof them and speed up the break-in process. So far, the only drawback I've encountered is attempting to enter and exit vehicles. This is a problem with the platform, not with the boot - I keep forgetting that my legs are 2" longer at the ankles, and I keep kicking the doorframe or slamming the brake pedal harder than necessary. br>I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can ride my motorcycle in these! The extra height should help to stabilize the bike when it comes to a stop (now that I can flat-foot it). The grippy soles, which are my nemesis on carpet, should grip the blacktop well (once again, at a stop). br>Now I just need to save up some money so I can add a second pair of super awesome boots to my collection!.
These are incredibly adorable and surprisingly comfortable. I give it a ten out of ten rating.
These boots have me completely enamored. I'm usually a size 81/2 in women's clothing, but I ordered a size 8 women's (6 men's) because docs tend to run large. Because the ankles are a little stiff, I suggest wearing taller socks until they are completely broken in.
