The leather is Virginia, and it's a softer, more flexible leather with a light texture. I believe the other is made of a harder, smoother leather.
They aren't lined in any way to keep you warm while you're walking through the snow. In the winter, I wear mine with leggings and jeans, but I wouldn't wear them hiking in the cold.
My granddaughter is an eight-year-old girl who wears a size eight, so I believe size nine will fit her as well.
I normally wear a size 7 in the United States, and the 38 is perfect for me!

Pascal 1460s. I ordered both the Pascals and the 1460s (from a different store) for my 17-year-old daughter to compare and contrast, assuming we would return one. The following are the differences in the details: br>The Pascals leather is softer, with a pebbly finish, and the top (around your ankle) is a tad shorter, with the leather simply cut off - making it more pliable so that it does not rub against your ankle/leg The 1460s are made of a stiffer leather that has a smoother, shinier finish and a sewn hem type edging along the top. She observed two things while wearing the 1460s. Her leg was rubbed just above the ankle by the top edging, and her heel slipped and rubbed painfully where the heel cup and shaft met - smack dab in the achilles tendon The Pascals were similar in size to the 1460s, but they were slightly narrower and more compact, giving them a refined (rather than combat) appearance. She liked both pairs of shoes, but the Pascals were her favorite for three reasons: there will be no painful break-up- during the time period; leather's surface finish It was also easier to return the 1460s purchased locally (rather than shipping them back to the Amazon seller). If you're still undecided, I hope this information is useful.
I'm an 8 and the sizing is a little confusing. 5 womens. I chose the 8W (which is not to be confused with Wide; the W stands for women's). Because I didn't want any extra space in my boot, I went down a size. I prefer my shoes to be on the snug side, and I was worried that the extra room would result in blisters due to friction and movement (as my Frye boots did when I ordered a size up). These boots are absolutely stunning. Exactly like the pair I used to have in high school. When you first put them on, they're a little tight, especially where the tongue meets the boot (the seam). As a result, I wore wet wool socks for three hours to soften them and form them to my feet. Because my left foot is slightly larger than my right, this shoe is a little tighter, but it's not too tight. Last night, I wore them for 5 hours with regular socks, and they already fit perfectly. There was no annoyance. When it comes to leather boots, they are extremely quick and simple to break in. It took months for my Fryes to get used to these, and they're still not quite as comfortable. I'd feel comfortable wearing these all day or for a long time. THEY ARE AMAZING.
This is my second pair of Pascals, and they are without a doubt the best online shoe purchase I've ever made. The Pascals are made of a softer leather that does not cut into the tops of your ankles like the 1480s do. It also has a much tighter fit when lacing it up, which I like because my feet are narrower. The heel and tip of the shoes are very sturdy and not as soft as the rest of the shoe, which is great for durability. That's how much I love these that I'm planning on getting a pair in each color! br>*I'm an 8 in every way. If you're an 8 or 8, I'd suggest going with a 5. 5 to get these without a doubt. I originally purchased a pair of 9's, which did not fit at all; however, because they are very roomy, I recommend going down a size.
Oh my gosh, these boots are incredible. I chose the Pascal because it was recommended that they were tighter, slightly less wide, and bulkier than the others. I suppose it's less unisex (YouTube it). The fit is excellent, though they will take some time to break in (size 8-). I ordered a size 6 because it was 5 degrees Fahrenheit in the United States. br>br>So, I got my first full-time job as an adult, and I'm finally allowing myself to buy all the things I've always wanted but couldn't afford as a kid. High school me? Now that I have some "Doctor Martens, Doctor Martens, Doctor Martens' boots!" I can finally relax. " (Bonus points if you know what reference I'm referring to! ) <3.
There were no tags on the package and it didn't come in the original box. Updated on the 28th. 18br>After a month, the Boots are fine and very attractive, with no other issues. As a result, I increased the star rating to 3/5; if the pair I received continues to perform as expected, the rating will be increased. My only issue is the misinformation claiming "New" when it's clear it was either a display pair or a pair made of old stock left overs, because the thickness and condition of the leather was not identical on both boots (one boot looked like it had been measured or worn before, and the tongue leather was noticeably thinner than in the other boot). I had conditioned and oiled the boots and polished out the visible flaws, but the leather still needed patient and dedicated conditioning to bring it back to its original state. Aside from that, the boots are authentic and original, and are made and finished in the same way as my other Red Temperley Pascals, which I received brand new from Amazon. br>br>Despite the Boots being described as "New," they arrived in a cardboard box with a note indicating that the Original Box had been damaged. The boots had no tags on them. Both boots arrived with extremely dry leather, as if they had been stored in a very hot warehouse or had been exposed to the sun previously. The right boot had a sharp object scratch, a visible scratch on the front cap, and a few more non-removable scuffs, and overall felt like it had been measured or worn before due to the wrinkles, whereas the second boot was brand new. Because the leather was so dry, the wonder balsam didn't do much to help. The seller could have given me a free jar of leather conditioner because it was so dry. The shoelaces had also dried out, and the material had begun to peel. On the outsole, there were also unidentified cracks. A small piece of rubber from the back of the outsole peeled off after a few hours of wear and a short walk. The negative review isn't about the Dr Martens boot because I ordered an identical model in red and it arrived in 100% condition as well. I might not have ordered this pair if it had been labeled as "New. " I've ordered several pairs of Dr Martens from Amazon, but this is the only pair that has arrived in such good condition. and it didn't live up to the hype.
