I have saved three pairs of boots that I could not break in on my own since my mother found these on Amazon, but they were extremely expensive (I made a purchase), and they have made three pairs of boots comfortable again. Although I found that it took me some time to get used to the bunion attachments, I found that I had to gradually stretch the boots without any attachments prior to using them. It is a beautiful product, made from an extremely high quality material. I purchased it because I needed to stretch a pair of cowboy style It arrived promptly and I turned the mechanism to expand the stretcher after inserting it into the boot. I then selected the recommended size and it arrived promptly. went according to plan, except the stretcher didn't actually hit my boot in the exact right spot so the area at the ball of my foot didn't really reap the benefits of stretching. Several of the attachments were included, but the holes in which they are designed to fit are not in the spot where I would like to apply pressure. I am returning it, even though I think it would be a very handy tool to have on hand. It was also an easy procedure to return.

I attempted to stretch a new pair of boots made by the Freebird brand for women. A stretcher of the correct size was ordered, but it won't reach the toe box far enough. There is no way to add any metal extra pieces. Only a small amount of stretching was done. There appears to be an issue with the wooden foot section's width.

It could use a better handle, according to me. Having an open handle would allow leverage to be obtained from a screwdriver. In my mid-60s, I found it hard to fully turn the handle of the stretcher as I was between 60 and death. It might even be better if it had a large wine opener.

On 2 boots, the boot stretcher worked without issue, but then the screw mechanism started to lock in place and would not loosen or tighten- I find the process to be too frustrating and difficult. In the future, I intend to purchase a different brand or type. The mistake cost a lot of money.

Since the bottom of my boots have pointed toes, this boot stretcher cannot stretch them, as they need stretching in the narrow toe area. Although it is a basic boot stretcher, the mechanism is very solid and it has a good amount of durability.
