What I was expecting was not what I got

Initially, I ordered these socks as a replacement for my beloved white lightweight Darn Tough socks that I bought in 2017 (I purchased three pairs and they're still going strong I just need to get more). Though they are described as lightweight, in my opinion they are more of a medium weight. As a layering piece for spring to fall and winter, or even a stand-alone piece in summer, the cushioning is too thick. It was disappointing.

Unfortunately, the wash was not as clean as it should have been. They were not added to towels, according to my memory. They still are great to me even when linty. There is a light weight on the leg but a medium weight on the foot. In other words, the socks are a bit thinner in the ankle than I didn't need to enlarge, but I didn't need to downsize.

It seems that black sneakers have less cushioning than white

I already have the white pair, and they are incredibly soft and comfy. That is why I felt I needed the black pair as well. The black, on the other hand, is thinner and does not feel quite as cushioned as the white. The rainbow is still my favorite color because it has a sense of personality to it.

I love the socks, and the cushioning is amazing

Those Darn Tough socks are great, as are all the socks they make. Furthermore, I did not realize how much padding this particular sock had, which was quite pleasant. It definitely makes for a very comfortable sock throughout the day. Socks to wear with day dress.
