These socks always appear to be pricey, despite the fact that they aren't made of unicorn hair or anything. They don't bunch or slip, and there aren't any huge awkward seam bulges, so they're comfortable and long-lasting. They do exactly what they're supposed to do, and they're available in a variety of colors. Colors and patterns with a theme are a pain to work with. Each pair lasts me about two years, and I use them in a variety of boots for farm chores, logging fallen trees, trudging through muddy paddocks, and so on. Pay attention to the ankle height - This brand is available in a wide range of heights to accommodate a wide range of applications. This is my favorite height. By the image, I thought the taupe version sold here was unsightly, but I purchased it anyway. It's not taupe at all, but rather a lovely shade of grey. It's not in the least bit unattractive.
I wear men's darn tough socks, so I can only speak about them; they were purchased as Christmas gifts. But I won't wear anything else now that I've discovered Darn Tough brand socks. They're comfortable, fit perfectly, are extremely durable, and keep my feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I tried the Smartwool brand and found these to be superior.
It's fashionable and wearable. When I wear them with Birkenstocks, they gross out my friends and family. The mission has been completed.
These are great for walking the dogs, shoveling snow, and aren't too hot to wear around the house or to work. Comfortable and super soft.
These socks are extremely comfortable to wear. They are cozy and comfortable. They're well-made, and I prefer them to all of my other winter socks. My feet were still warm after getting them completely wet while walking through water.
The Darn Tough socks had a great color and cushioning on the bottom, but the toe area was oddly shaped and bunched in my hiking boot, which made it very uncomfortable. For my 7-year-old, I chose a Medium. Sadly, they'll have to go back up a shoe size.
These were worn by my daughter on a 70-mile backpacking trip this summer. Darn Tough socks are her favorite because they are comfortable, cute, and long-lasting.
The fit prevents blisters by preventing the socks from sliding while hiking. I've now got four more pairs of hiking socks in my collection.
