My Aglet has a 5 mm opening and fits perfectly in my boot. It's possible you're aiming for a 3 instead of a 4. The opening is 5mm. The new lace has a 1 inch stiff section at the end.
You get two pairs of whatever color you choose, so the answer to the first question is "yes."
I'm not sure what kind of boots they'll go with. I measured the length of the existing boot string and placed an order based on that measurement. They have the same diameter as a thick round tennis shoe string. They go well with our heavy-duty weather boots, and I hope this has been of some assistance.
It is dependent on the number of eyelets. When you buy the laces, there is usually a chart to guide you.

It's difficult to wax poetic about a pair of simple shoelaces, but these are fantastic. My Keen Targhee III shoes needed new laces. I'm very happy. br>br>Sun, dirt, sand, saltwater, fresh water, my dog, rain, mud, sharp tools, blunt tools, my dog, rocks, lumber, and my dog all put these laces to the test. They still look great and show no signs of wear after more than two months. After two months of heavy use, the laces look like this. They are well-knotted. Unless there was a particularly difficult environment, such as green briars or dense brush, double knots were never required. br>br>You receive FOUR (two pair) laces, enough to replace the laces on four (two pair) pairs of shoes. The laces are fantastic. I've been on the lookout for some good, heavy-duty shoelaces to replace the higher-quality laces that came with my Merrell shoes and boots. I've squandered most of my money on Amazon on pricey (but attractive) laces. That is, until I came across these! It's difficult to put into words, but they just feel good. They're sturdy, strong, stay tied, and appear to last a long time; plus, you get two pairs for the price of some of the more popular brands, which frayed on me almost immediately. I've had these for a few months and they're still in great shape. If you need some good boot or hiking shoe laces, I'd recommend these.
My fraying Keen work boot laces were perfect replacements for this. So far, they appear to be in good condition. I chose the shorter length because I always think Keen's boots have excessively long laces. These are almost perfect, and unlike regular Keen laces, they don't have loops all over the place.
My original laces did not last as long as my boots, so I replaced them with regular laces. They slid around a lot. having to re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re- I'm going to tie my shoes. Now I put my boot on, tie my new laces, and leave them on until I'm ready to remove them. Lace is a fairly straightforward expectation that has yet to be realized!.
Ordered a 47" brown pair to replace a pair that had been damaged. Hiking boots/shoes that are at the top of their game. Vasques 5 was the name of the group. low-priced tops. It was the perfect fit. Enough lace length remained after tightening the shoe to tie it easily, but not so much that it dragged on the ground. The color is lovely, and the quality appears to be excellent. Because of the low price, I was concerned about the quality, but I would definitely order these again. The wave shape is one of my favorites. My original laces would constantly come undone, and I'd have to retie them two or three times a day. I haven't had to re-tie them during the day because of the wave design. During the winter, I wear these shoes almost every day, so I'll update my review if they don't hold up. If there isn't an update, they are still in good shape.

When one of the aglets broke off, the inside of the lace unraveled, leaving only the shell, I was about to give these a negative review. That was in March, though. Even though it's missing its "innards," the faulty shoelace has held up well so far.
