Questions & Answers

Is there a hood on this jacket?

It doesn't work that way. SMHbr>br>That's why there's a hood in every picture.

I'm trying to decide between this jacket and a cornerstone jacket. Which is better or warmer?

The Cornerstone Jacket has yet to be tried, but the Dri Duck Cheyenne Jacket is fantastic. Warm and of high quality. It is very similar to the brand name C*rha*t, but it is less expensive. This jacket has a detachable hood that keeps the snow from dripping down your neck. I'm very happy with it and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

What size should I order if I'm 5'10" and weigh 150 pounds?

You should be fine with the medium. I'm 5'6" and 155 pounds, so it runs a little bigger than most mediums. Small is usually not an option for me because it is too confining in the shoulders. I'm returning this one for a small because it's much larger than the usual medium.

What is the difference between 5x and 10x? xxxxx-, xxxxx-, xxxxx-, xxx large, as well as 5x-large big?

This coat is absolutely stunning. If you're short and chubby like me, the 5x large is the way to go. The others, on the other hand, I assume are for people who are taller.

Carhartt-style jackets come to mind
5/5

I needed a change after Carhartt stopped producing most of their products in the United States and began producing huge, oversized, low-quality clothing. For years, I wore four older Carhartts to work every day! They were fantastic, tough, and fit perfectly; I was always a medium, so sizing was never an issue. Since then, I've taken a look at the newer ones and am astounded by their size. Not only that, but the buttons, stitching, and zippers are all of poor quality. br>br>To cut a long story short, I looked at all of the leading competitor's products and felt uneasy about not purchasing any. The Berne jacket fit true to size, but the arm lengths were 4" too long, the pockets were shallow, and the elastic around the waist was too tight, puffing out the chest and belly! br>br>The dickies were incredibly inexpensive. It appears to be of low quality, with a low-quality duck shell. I'm not going to talk about it any longer because they, too, have been victims of foreign corporate takeovers. br>br>C. Schmidt, the tractor supply brand, was nearly identical to Dickies, but the fit and finish was noticeably better. The zipper, which is weak, did not appeal to me. This may sound strange, but I believe it lacks the same sense of identity and charisma that Carhartt once had. It was just an ok jacket that might last you a couple of years of hard workbr>br>I think the Walls bomber hoodie jacket (sherpa lined) could be a "decent" jacket. It looked like a spruced-up Dickies jacket to me. They're owned by Dickies and made in the same offshore plant, as you can see here. It all turned me off because Walls used to be a great American company. br>br>In comes Dri duck. Because I couldn't find it in stores, I took a chance and ordered one from Amazon. When my usual medium arrived, I was surprised by the weight of the package and thought to myself, "Here we go again. " Another jacket that is three sizes too large. The softness of the duck shell as I began to open it astounded me. Even though it's been finely brushed and broken in, it still smells tough. very distinct characteristics When I put the jacket on, I noticed that the length, width, and sleeve dimensions were all perfectly proportioned. The flannel lining is soft and has a good feel to it. The flannel and polyester filling are held in place by TIGHT stitching. There are no stray threads in this piece. Shocked! I then zipped up the large zipper and noticed that it looked eerily similar to the old USA Carhartts from the 1990s. It zipped up perfectly and has a hefty and high-quality feel to it. The cuffs and waist are perfect. They aren't too tight or too loose. I can raise my arms without the sleeves or waist rising; the hood is perfectly sized and not bulky at all; it could easily accommodate a hefty hat plus hood. The sleeves have a nylon inner lining that makes it simple to put on and take off. To summarize, I believe we have a company that is committed to quality, as evidenced by the Cheyenne jacket. br>br>To sum it up, I believe we have a company that is dedicated to quality, as evidenced by the Cheyenne jacket. This jacket has all of the characteristics of the old USA Carhartt's without the badge or the premium price. br>br>This jacket has "identity" and "charismatic" characteristics not found in the land of Dickies and Company. For the cold winters in northeast Ohio, I'll only use Dri Duck. Buy it. You will not be disappointed!.

This is an amazing jacket
5/5

I ordered the field khaki color and am very pleased with it. At 5'11" and 250 pounds, XL is the perfect size for me. The jacket is comfortable to wear while working because it has elastic at the waist and wrists. It also has an inner pocket for a smartphone, gloves, or other small items, and it appears to be suitable for temperatures as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature is 20 degrees. Wear a hoodie underneath if you want to stay warm.

For the cold, this coat/hoodie is perfect! This coat/hoodie is fantastic
5/5

I made my own patriotic patches for the arms, which I really like. It's an excellent coat for the colder months. I've found myself sweating in 40 degree weather when I'm very active, but it's only 21 degrees outside today, so it keeps me perfectly warm. It's made of the same material as a Dickies jacket. The pockets are fine; the front ones aren't insulated, but that doesn't bother me. I tried on many jackets and coats before deciding on this one. It is something I strongly suggest.

After months of research, I've finally found an honest coat for an honest price
5/5

For me, this outdoor coat was the clear winner. I decided to buy this coat after weighing the cost and the amount of time I'll be spending outside. This coat isn't meant to be worn in a fashionable manner. It's big, but the fabric on the inside is soft and cozy. I’m 5. I'm 7 years old and weigh 145 pounds. The medium is a tad too big for me. There is enough room inside for a hoody or any vest to be worn, and there is enough room around the pit area that the entire jacket does not ride up when your arms are raised. That is unquestionably a plus. Overall, the coat isn't designed for extreme cold, but it will suffice for moderate cold. I tested the coat in the rain yesterday and found it to be water resistant. The inside was dry because it had not been wet, and it dried faster with the help of a heater. It's unclear how well it'll withstand a heavy downpour. After a week, the wrist is covered in lint. For me, it's a minor annoyance.

With this jacket, you can put an end to your search

It doesn't get any better than this. My husband said he'd give it a ten out of ten for water resistance, comfort, and warmth if he could. He's had the jacket for three and a half years (since October of 2016), and it's held up admirably. He works 40 hours a week for a large tree service, and his job has held up well. He was born in Florida and has lived in Kentucky for the past ten years. He usually avoids the outdoors once the temperature drops below 40°, but last year he worked in sub-zero temperatures in this jacket and said it kept him warm enough to get him through the day. It's been used daily in brush, with chainsaws, and all of the other hazards, and it's still going strong. I only had to do a little sewing around the wrist area because a few holes had started to appear, but otherwise it's in excellent condition. br>We're going to buy a second one today because he's grown so much since we bought the first, but I'm sure he'll keep his old one. We paid twice as much for it, and it was well worth it.

Dickies XL Sanded Jacket in Navy Color! Carhartt hooded jackets in a size L, for example
5/5

Jacket with a lot of weight and a lot of toughness! At 5'10", the 240 XL regular length is just right, neither too short nor too long! For these jackets, we've included a size chart from the Dri Duck website! The numbers on the chart correspond to the circumference of the chest and back in inches.

I had previously written; My height is six feet and my weight is 190 pounds
3/5

I had previously written; I'm six feet tall, 190 pounds, and I've worn short sleeves and body lengths before. I kept the jacket because I thought that because of the type of material (very stiff and tight weave), one might have to wear and use it, causing the sleeves and body to loosen up and not fit properly. I was hesitant to exchange the jacket for an XL, fearing that the jacket would be too big if what I said above was accurate. The fabric appears to be a tough, windproof, and warm material. Shoveling snow or engaging in other outdoor activities, on the other hand, causes sleeves to move around, exposing the waist line and mitten tops. That doesn't sit well with me because I'm from Minnesota.

Sturdy, spacious, and comfortable
5/5

I weigh 350 pounds and stand 6'4" tall. I usually order a 4xlt, but since that size was unavailable, I went with a 5x because I wanted a roomy fit to layer under. I usually wear a 38" sleeve dress shirt, so I wanted to make sure I was covered. It was a wise decision to order the next size up. 4xlt would've been ideal, and 4x would've probably sufficed, but I'm content with the extra space 5x provides. The material is both durable and comfortable to wear. Taking my dog out on cold days will be the most difficult work I will do with it, but I believe it will stand up to more rigorous testing. Hood is an excellent choice.
